That's not what was said. He said that no new armor was coming with the Defiant pack, he did not deny that there was a new armor and in fact sort of confirmed that there was on in his next post on that forum.

um....not case closed. The rumor is that there is new armor, not that it will come out with the Defiant Pack. All that was confirmed was that no new armor is coming on March 15th, no one denied there being new armor on the other hand, in fact if you kept reading on the waypoint forum where that post came from you'll see the 343 employee say something like, "if I told you it would ruin the mystery" or something like that, which more or less means there is new armor.
The BWU today actually quoted a post on the Halo Waypoint forum; written by bs angel, I think it was. The screenshots unearthed (see what I did there) were from 343 Studios, so the new helmet and chest will most likely be unlocked via Halo Waypoint. Come to think of it, did anyone on this thread realize that the chest on the new helmet wearing Blue is different?
Many noticed a strange chestpiece on the first sighting of the new helmet. Didn't notice anything different on the blue one tho. Anywho, many people are too quick to jump to conclusions. Notice how specific their explanation was. Instead of saying "there is no new armor. The reason that you see these pictures of strange armor are because of _______, but they are not real". They said "this armor is not coming with the Defiant Maps" Also notice that further down in BS Angel's post, someone says "explain this mystery helmet" and she said "then it wouldn't be a mystery". She confirmed that it exists.
Saying "armor wont come out with deviant map pack" doesn't prove there wont be new armor. Just that new armor wont be coming out for everyone with the deviant map pack. Saying "it will be a mystery" doesnt prove there will be new armor for the general public. Doesn't mean anything really. (though they did use curious wording to not disprove or prove anything) Fact:The helmet/chest piece does exist. Meaning it has been made. It is good publicity and stuff so keeping it a mystery has its benefits, But IMO how publicly it has become probably means someone has intentions of making it public for everyone one day. But has problems getting it done.
This is just about what I would have guessed. If they out in armor that you could not unlock at the start, then chances are that it would be in its own set of code separate from the armor that you unlock default. While the rest of the armor would have code that read along the lines of iflevel=5 unlock, yet that would read something like ifdlc=1 unlock, if level=5. I'm not very good at coding so I can't tell you for sure what it would be, just that it could very well be much longer, unrecognizable when its encoded, and possibly infinitely far away from the rest of the armor in sequence. This is the only way they can give us new armor; by making us download a key that unlocks it, not by making us download it.
IF the helmet exists (i don't really care either way, not a fan) i'll bet its some future vidmaster esque challenge reward. I still maintain that those four hidden banshees on the package are there for a reason and i'll say it again, if they add anything, all i want is red visor lol
Go to bungie.net, they have disproved this claim on one of their latest updates. There will be no new armor this update.
genetically enhanced super techno soldiers maybe. A cyborg, also known as a cybernetic organism, is a being with both biological and artificial (e.g. electronic, mechanical or robotic) parts. The actual human body is enhanced, but is the suit of armor actually integrated into their biological systems? they can get out of them right?
I don't know if they can get out of the armor. I figure the Spartan IIIs might but from what I have seen with Master Chief it might be limited in the case of Spartan IIs. Also when I was going through my various science classes the one thing they said is that even someone riding their bike can be considered a Cyborg (but now I am just arguing in order to make myself look more masculine).
Well, did you see the post on the B.net about the BOBs? The helmet's eyepiece looks similar to the BOBs on Marathon... Punch Every switch (Reachs hidden switches) Exterminate every last BOB (BOBs on Reach's Campaign) Total Carnage (Legendary/Mythic "LASO" Difficulty?) Maybe the weekly challenges of killing BOBs were pointing us somewhere?
