Why is this guy such an asshat? Obviously he had some part to play in the construction of the building or rather a personal relationship with the one built it. Get off your ****ing high horse man, everyone in this thread wants it removed, understandably this isn't the actual website to be voicing these complaints, however, the point still stands: Many people want it gone, it's a perfect example of undercover griefing, and I personally dislike how it completely blocks most views of my lighthouse. What the **** is wrong with you guys, you become moderators on a small time server and suddenly think you're the smartest, most intelligent people on the face of the earth. No offense to Matt or the pleasant mods intended.
As I see it, dunkin is taking the whole "I have the power therefore I'm right" approach. The building by definition was an act of griefing, so ripping it down was a fair action to take.
I did, but then I got frustrated because I died. I guess if I find pumpkins, clay, or an awesome building area I'd mark the co-ordinates.
Please explain to me how in disproving any of the bullshit claims the two of you have presented to me, my ego plays any bit a role. The server has grown since those unofficial 'rules' were established. MSP chose to build his cobble structure in the South and to this very second neither Matt nor Cheeze have had any objections. Allow me, a moderator, to once again explain to you: that building breaks no server rules. Also, your personal opinions on the aesthetics of 'cobble' are completely irrelevant to this conversation. Not the case here. Sorry you feel that way.
I tunneled to bedrock in it...put a lot of torches down. Also sleazy, I don't really get the position your defending. Several users have expressed a dislike of the structure and you technically haven't stated your opinion on it, just saying "I'm a moderator". We get it, you want to uphold the rules. The discussion the other people are trying to convey is that the building is itself an act of griefing and therefore should not be allowed. It's an understandable point, if the building annoys a lot of people than it is griefing. By your dismissive attitude, I suppose you are not annoyed by the structure and thus support it, which is also fine. This is the kind of issue that might be good to have a vote about as it would set precedent for what constitutes griefing on miningbros. Also, what would be so hard about just taking it down and rebuilding it elsewhere...it is a game about building stuff... Also just wanted to mention, if you had a staff meeting and discussed this issue, that is really not fair nor a valid argument to make as noone is giving the other side of the argument, its just you saying some people want to blow up a building...
You can't have an argument with someone who disregards every one of your posts with "I'm a moderator, so I'm right" in some form, while not providing anything to back up their claims besides that statement itself.
um...right...that's what I said....I swear sometimes I really should just bullet point things I say for clarity...
Woops, forgot to put that I was stating a TL;DR version I'm not sure what you're talking about, since lava springs above ground have been in the game since Alpha 1.2.6. I have personally only ever encountered above ground lava three times, twice in SMP and once in SSP.
Sorry, I meant on the ForgeHub seed :/ I know it's been around for a while, I just want a lava source without all that mining at the moment.
Ahh, I had a small feeling you may have been talking about that. I haven't really explored much yet, although I will do so as soon as I finish my main base near the desert at 0,0.
if you're going to go with the tl;dr thing don't quote the post then Also...kinda dickish, could of just said "I agree with that".
He will upgrade it as soon as new bukkit software is available. I suggest you just wait but downgrading is possible despite being difficult.
