Description:The Hive is a symmetrical, arena-style map consisting of 2 bases and 3 levels of elevation. 2v2 and 3v3 matches are optimal. 4v4 would be too much, as the level plays smaller than it looks. This is due largely in part to the lifts that take players from their base to the top floor in the center of the map. PS: Hammer dominates your face on this map. Always be aware of your surroundings. Well right off the bat I can tell you that this is some real quality forging, the asthetics are in order and are quite beautiful. However, the arched bridge is quite mmm... ugly. If you could I would suggest using something else. I also am concerned about the number of power weapons, there seems to be to many for a small map. But then again, I havent played it yet. ALSO: You did not show there was a plasma grenade on the left side of the overview,
Thanks for the feedback Jester. I didn't notice just how many weapons were on the map until I made that overview detailing their locations. I'll add you on live if you're interested in playing some customs/testing maps. Here's a list of changes coming within the next day or two; tell me what you think: -Modified weapons to suit more competitive play. Namely, the removal of either the grenade launchers or the hammer. If hammer is removed, it will be replaced with a single nade launcher set to maximum spare clips. -FHT support -New center bridge
I think the part he dislikes are the windows the hammer rests on. I have to agree with him there. I think I'll place something that matches the brushed silver of the struts. The curved walls look fine to me though.
