I watched video walkthroughs of each map. The firefight map is what firefight needed. It's a lot like Lost Platoon, and I can't wait to try it out.

Condemned I'm a little iffy about. The layout is confusing, seems cramped and the low-g area is once again, unnecessary. Still, I was surprised by Anchor 9, so I will give this one a chance before exing it off.

Highlands, however, just looks purely amazing. I cannot wait for this map. It feels so classic.

    Yeah Highlands looks incredible.

I cant wait to find out what the achievements are. I really hope they arent Halo 3 multiplayer type achievements where everyone betrays everyone to get the achivements.

Also, this gives me a reason to get both map packs at the same time, considering the lowest amount of microsoft points the local gamestop sells is 2100.

What, you don't think a lot of Armor Lock and assassinations are indicative of Reach's gameplay? I thought it was fitting, actually. :)

No problem with the armor lock, but they could have shown some melee battles or something. i dunno. i guess i'm just completely over the animation, i find it annoying. when it was a preview video for reach it made sense, but we've seen it so many times... just show us more of the map already

the 5 times in one video didn't really bother me, but 3 of them were within a minute of eachother.... maybe i'm biased. I find an actual beat down from behind more satisfying. and it only takes a second :)

Yeah, they clearly throw it in because it's cinematic or whatever, but for me - I just want to see as much of the map as possible. Honestly I don't even really care if there are people on it at all.

ditto on that, i'd prefer a free cam through the whole map a la so many forgehub posts.

Anyone else notice in that video the incredible attention placed on assassinating players in as many ways possible? Some were clearly set up and poorly acted out.

Shown for Achievements, without a doubt in my mind.

There was a spot on the video that took place in the zero-g room on Condemned where it looked like it had normal gravity... Any one else catch that or am I seeing things?

Yay, its official! Now we can flood the thread with all the stuff we've already seen!

SecretSchnitzel, I only recognise the 0-g room at about 1:35 and the players do look a bit floaty, especially in the Heaunter Pro clip

That room has low gravity, not as low as Anchor 9 though. Thats why.

Just as I thought, good to know. Having a central room with gravity as low as A9 would seem like a really bad idea, hopefully this helps with things like MLG potential. I remember that Ponytar's version of A9 that popped up briefly included the space area, so I would assume that him and KC are open to the possibility.

I wish we could place a gravity zone in forge, - or +..... it'd make for some interesting games/maps

Cool about Highlands being the spartan training zone from FoR. I was kinda thinking that when I heard the original name.

Meh. The only map that interests me of the three (well two, because I don't play Firefight) is Highlands. I bet it won't even have much of a forge palette.

Apparently it has absolutely no structural items, only scenery, which sucks immensely.
