Cargo Port

    I updated the OP with some cool action shots from a game of 3v3 Invasion we played on here.

    Thanks to Stevo, Invasion is now a much more balanced and awesome affair. He designed some pretty mint bomb plant points for us as well.

    I'm working on the maps THIRD spawn system. Yeah, thats right. Theres a spawn system for Invasion, a spawn system for asymmetrical games, and a completely different one for symmetrical games. This will cause the map to be fun and balanced for all game modes. Red team no longer spawns up top in Team Slayer, either team can gain top control. At this point, I'm about 90% satisfied for Invasion, and pretty much happy with how One-Flag and FFA work. Assault and Team Slayer need more testing, and of course we'll make sure that Territories and Stockpile are fun as well.

    I wasn't in any pictures? Sadface :(. LoL. Anyway, from the Invasion and FFA games I played earlier today I have to say, this little section of Campaign plates better than the actual thing (probably because that part isn't set up for Invasion). When you said that Invasion wasn't the main point I thought you were joking, Invasion plays almost perfectly except for the fact that the Falcon always gets blown up too quickly. And FFA seems really put together aswell. I can't wait until the release so I can see how well the other gametypes work (hopes up for Infection). But ya, this is the best campaign remake ever, even more than the firefight maps.

    Oh sorry dude, I meant to get you in some screenshots, but I guess you didn't do anything awesome enough :p You're still in some of 'em though, just not as the main subject. I'm glad you liked invasion so much, and I'm still hoping to get the falcon more air time. I'm not sure if infection will really play well or not, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    Thanks for all the interest and positive attitude towards the map everyone. It really makes Matt and I feel like we're doing something right, and makes us go the extra mile to make it live up to all the hype. The release date could be in a week or two if we're lucky, but I don't want the map to just be awesome, I want it to be frickin amazing.

    I get no recognition for the symmetrical initial spawn point locations? I'm gonna give you credit for that piece you placed on Hero (maybe). D:

    Anyways, sorry I didn't get a game on this with you, I needed to finish up the spawns and whatnot on Hero... so yeahh :/ Hope to play the updated version sometime soon!

    P.S. I hope you didn't get rid of people with Erupt's level of skill's ability to run up, get the Focus Rifle, and spawn rape the entire other team single-handedly in Invasion. <3

    I love the idea and love the look of the map. It's funny, I also thought that that part of the campaign would do well in multiplayer, but I never considered actually forging it. Nice one!

    Yeah Erupt... Cuz you're the only one who told us to do that right? :p

    And I fixed that Matt.

    A lot of people seem to have thought that Tedium, but I beat everyone to it.

    I have a question though, is slayer considered an asymmetrical gametype? We played a game of TS today, and it used the asymmetrical only spawn system, which is a shame because the neutral symmetrical clusters system works like a charm (as we found out in our game of 3 plots today). I can now say that I'm quite happy with the way oddball and territories plays on here, we're getting there!

    Not sure ducky, but if it does, simply create more asymmetrical starting points for Slayer only.. that way, players will spawn there.. (most likely) they may still spawn elsewhere though

    Well that still would use the asymmetrical spawn system which sucks for team slayer, we'll have to find another way. And sorry you still didn't get to play this today Stevie, your ramen noodles took too long to cook.

    Hey Psycho, let me know when you are having the next "testing" session tomorrow, if you're having one. It just has to be after 3-ish tomorrow because I might have to go back to school after those 3 days of snow storm we had (which was awesome btw) but, then again, I might not so we'll just see. I honestly want to check this out a lot more thoroughly with other gametypes.

    Cartograph: You can't download this yet, if you want to be part of testing just send me an FR over XBL (The Psycho Duck) or just join my TGIF lobby tomorrow.

    Anthraxe: We did another little test today, but you were playing Naruto or some ****. We'll be testing this for several gametypes tomorrow at TGIF. It's gonna open officially at 8 PM EST, but I'm gonna try to get a party going around 6:30 so that the Brits can come too. We'll be playing the hell outta this then. Hopefully I can fix the slayer spawn system beforehand...

    Oh, okay, cool. And about the naruto thing, my bro is absolutely obsessed with it. As soon as I'm done he's on in 10 seconds, lol. But alright see ya at around 7-ish.

    I hesitated to comment on this because when I first saw it was slayer and objective oriented I didn't see Cargo Port going well (but I'll certainly love to be proven wrong ;])

    However, from the updated shots it looks as though it will support Invasion.
    That's what I'm talking about!
    From the moment I saw this initially I thought Invasion.

    Looks like it's going well and I can't wait to see this in the forums.

    Really enjoyed this map when playing with you guys with the odd exception. I feel invasion didn't really work but then again my opinion is biased based on the fact I never really enjoy Invasion that much anyway :p. Also there's the ramp with the railings in the middle which for some reason I find annoying but I dunno if its possible to change it to just a clean ramp?

    Thanks for the games, really enjoyed it

    Believe me Organite, Invasion is just the tip of the iceberg.

    Be patient or just join my TGIF titmar!

    Invasion didn't go so well yesterday because 2 people on my team were AFK like the whole game. That was the first time anyones been skunked on here.

    Lol @ my wheelman frenzy thingy when I stole the Spartan's Falcon ;)

    I think this is turning out veryyy well. For Invasion, Team Slayer, everything. 'Cept for Stevo's Invasion spawns... ;) lol Well, I tell you what I think after every game, so just keep updating, changing, testing, and this is gonna be and extreemeellyyyy good map.

    Great job so far, and good luck.

    Yay! You actually like my map! That road hog was pretty beast. And Stevo's Invasion spawns have been changed, he did an awesome job with the bomb plant points though.

    I think that once you and I are both completely satisfied with every game mode (maybe a week from now?) we:
    A. Send the map to the TG so Erupt can test it and give us any last minute feedback.
    And B. Send all our films to Stevo so he can capture them, then I make a video and a sick thread and you can pimp out some screenshots
    Then we release it and everyone will be like "zomg!" and then Organite can review it with the RH and it will be happy times.
