Had to go for repression cause it's the only one i've played extensively enough to know it's deserving for FHF
I'd like to vote for Derezzed as its a pretty outstanding map... And also that I don't want to be a self favoring deuce for a change. Unfortunately, I can't vote because of my countless infractions.
Astroid Base. My hopes aren't up though because this is a big popularity contest and some map with water or trees or some other played-out map physic always wins.
Hydro and Crystal Summit Observatory. I think Reppression is the best here, but there's a lot of good choices.
Crystal Summit I can agree with. However, Hydro was actually a really cool and new concept, not just a map filled with water. So that's not really valid, imo.
I chose Warhorse. It doesn't involve water or trees, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. It is one of the few BTB maps that I've enjoyed playing though.
I wish I had a map.... however, no matter how couldit could be, it would be passed up as this is a popularity contest. Such bs.
Proximo, I think everyone saw your first post already, so I don't see why you basically repeated yourself. Yes, FHF is a popularity contest TO AN EXTENT. However, if that was entirely the case, Asteroid Base would probably not have tied for second. I did not ask friends to vote for my map, I encouraged people to vote for Repression. If you want a shot at winning FHF, try making a unique map that is well tested. That's no garauntee for victory, but it definitely ups your chances.
I don't plan on forging... I just play the game and evaluate other maps. I want to forge, but can't be bothered. The thing is that it is unfair that some one with a lot of friends can easily win multiple FHF's with mediocre/average maps. At least Astroid Base and Repression were original maps, Select is just a failed re-imagining rip off of Narrows. Should it even be allowed? The author is banned after all.
Well, if you just make and release a map, without anyone playing it, not even your friends are gonna vote/nominate it if they've never seen it. The best way to win is to get custom lobbys going and get your map out there so everyone has seen it, then you have a chance to win. Ok, so if you can't do that because you have no friends to play it with? That doesn't make it popularity, it's the fact that people seeing the map, actually playing it, then watching it evolve into something they like. THAT'S how you win FHF. That doesn't make it popularity, that means they like the map. It's not as if I've played every one of these maps, but I'm gonna vote for the one I did play, because I'm friends with the author. That's still NOT popularity. I've gave plenty of examples, my point here should be across. Every map get's inspiration from somewhere. Asteroid Base, for example, got inspiration for something out of Star Wars I believe. So, does that make it a failed re-imagining rip off of Star Wars? No. Whether the inspiration is from Halo, CoD, Battlefield, or Star Wars, every idea comes from somewhere. You don't just pull it out of some dark corner of you mind. That's just turning everything into a big Dictatorship. Which is what Snit got banned here for, he thought the mods abused their powers and whatnot, so he stood against it. And your just encouraging it here. And lastly, I'm sorry if I offended anyone here. I truly wasn't trying to be mean in any way. Thank you.
