Terminous is a Symmtrical-map suited for 2v2 games. But is very capable of holding decent sized FFA games. The was started out of complete boredom, but after setting up the center piece, something clicked into my mind saying that this map was gonna be awesome! So I spent that night drawing out the map on paper to see what I could come up with. The drawing looked pretty good, but in when I tried it, I failed. So out of frustration I started forging wherever I could, suddenly what I thought was going to be a 'disaster' turned into a really spectacular map! I know, I know, you wanna see me stop talking and show off my map already. Fine, here you go!

Happy? I'll be honest with you, aesthetics wasn't my primary concern.

    Overview 2
    [IMG]
Looks pretty good, right? Still not convinced? Well then, let's get a closer look.

First stop, The Tesla Coil (As I like to call it). As you can see, there are four Fusion Coils, surronding the Coil. (You can't see the other two) I would suggest destroying these, before going into the Gravity Lift to obtain the Energy Sword.

In order to obtain the Energy Sword, you'll have to grab it while flying upwards.

After obtaining the goods, the player will be forced into a Teleporter. That'll take him/her to two random locations on the map.

From that random location, the player will find a Gravity Lift. Of which will take the player back to the top center. In case they don't like my beautiful basement!

I mean look at it! Who would want to leave that place!?! It has a Sniper Rifle!
    (I joke a lot.)

Next stop, Red Underpass. Players will find a Needler along with yet another Gravity Lift...

That'll launch the player ontop of the enemy's base. Allowing for clever flanking tactics.

Well, that's the end of my tour. Don't forget to buy a Limited-Edition Terminous T-Shirt, which shows a player being assasinated by a Grunt.

Now, I relize that you probably don't have a complete visual of Terminous. But that's okay, I just wanted to tell people that I was going to enter the contest and see if I could get any feedback on my latest map.

    Weapons List:(You thought I forgot.)
    Weapon-Spare Clips- Spawn Time
    2xDMR-1-45
    2xNeedle Rifle-1-45
    2x Grenade Launchers-2-150
    2xSpiker-1-60
    2xMagnum-2-45
    Energy Sword-(Fooled ya)-180
    Sniper Rifle-1-180

Seems a bit gimmicky... you have to go through 3 distinct phases just to obtain the sword. Just the way you wrote it made it seem like this really long chain of events. Also randomness isnt something that should be used lightly, the more competitive the map the less you should use it, although this could be argued as I have seen some pretty good exceptions. And finally, you should lean that sniper and other weapons on the wall instead of having them grund level in a corner, makes them much more visible

Thank you for the comments Inferi. The process of obtaining the Energy Sword, (despite what I wrote) is actually a very short process. Reason for the randomness with the teleporters is to help prevent camping or can act as a quick/risky escape. However, considering how over powering they can be, I believe I will go ahead and remove the Fusion Coils around the Tesla Coil. I never thought about leaning the weapons on the wall so I will go in and make them more visible. I'm not a professional writer, so I incidentally sounded very boastful while posting this. So that probably made this post sound very gimmicky.

It looks like your typical floating map tbh. Try and get away from cage-type maps, I just think platforms connected by long bridges never turn out well unless you really know what you're doing.

Well, I can't change anything about that. I'll admit that I took a lot of inspiration from The Cage though. Call me an idiot, but I like it. I agree with the long brdiges too, but the longest they ever get is with the steep incline down to the bottom Grav-Lifts and telporters. I appreciate the comments, and even with it's minor flaws. I think it'll be a great map to play and have fun on.
