Hey guys. I actually just started a Let's Play series of minecraft. It's based completely on the viewers suggestions of what i should do. The heavy breathing and the swallowing is annoying, deffinitely a teeth grinder for me. Try to pull the mic a little further away from your mouth. I couldn't watch it all because of that, but your annunciation is fair and the gameplay wasn't slow, so that's good.
Keyboard is done! The "play space" The Innards It's really basic. Just 8 pressure plates, connected to two inverters each, connected to a notebox. If you can't see the notes, it's a full octave. Really basic to make, kind of hard to hear over the pressure plates, but really fun to play!
Ok, although I haven't actually played the game after the update P) I can still give out spoilers! So here they are: Spoiler The new water mob is a squid (I wonder where you get black ink? ) There is a new ore!!!! It's a dark blue-ish colour (well at least it looks like an ore) There's fruit-like things that are made into dyes Sugar A dark blue-ish looking block (possibly made from mining the blue colour ore and refining it) A new sandy-looking block (although it could possibly a new breaking animation ) A weird black-striped white block (possibly to do with the new tree) An arrow shooter majig Diamond, gold and iron blocks are the same on all sides now. There's a trap (I think that's what the arrow shooter is, it has it's own GUI) I can't remember anything else... Edit: Spoiler The new tree has a new trunk and the whit thing as the inside (probably) with a new style of leaves
I asked in the shoutbox, who was going to be getting the daily updates via SVN and no one had a clue about the news, so I'll explain for those who don't understand. An SVN is just a method of getting files out to people to update easily. Programming teams use this or a git (wont go into that) to share the code. So in detail, Notch is going to be making binaries daily of all the changes and share them out VIA SVN or some other method (They are quite likely to go with SVN, they even said that) and this means you will get new features (although buggy) before official releases. It will be installed in-line with your current minecraft install so that it doesn't overwrite it. EDIT: 2,500TH POST!
It's much too early to understand that.. Basically is there just going to be more, smaller updates? Rather than the few large ones? Edit: Congrats on having 738 more posts than me
It's not too early, the update stated there would be daily updates which are installed in-line with your current install, and it probably would be sent out via SVN. & No, people nag so much for unstable updates, he is complying. The updates will still take a long time. Think of yourself as a BETA BETA tester.
