Hey guys, Siege here, i'm a machinimator, quite a busy one as it happens, I've recently got an EXTREMELY large team together, consisting of about 20+ People currently, we're all working on a project called Assasin's Log. It's going to be a One hour and a half featurette which is going to be uploaded to our YouTube Channel and Also sent to the official Machinima youtube channel. The reason i'm calling out to you fellas should be fairly obvious now, but just incase you haven't realised yet, We DESPERATELY need set builders, and some of the stuff we require for the sets will probably require more than 2 or 3 people to work on at once, It's going to work like a traditional large scale produciton, While i'm continuing with the writing or the script with the other boys, designing the plot outlines and such you would be working on the machinima sets to dazzle the audience with aesthetic beauty (I can't forge to save my life xD). I need forgers with a pretty decent skill level, which basically means, NO SLOPPY FORGING! xD And you'd be intrusted with what is in my opinion one of the most important aspects of a machinima, because i have to right stage directions and dialogue around the city you build xD So yeah, big task! If you do apply, i'll probably check out some of the stuff you've created before so i can see what you're capable of. If you're accepted aboard, i'll most likely invite you to my friends list, invite you into a game on Reach and give you the specifications for the maps we are after. To put it basically, the machinimovie (Yay! New word xD) Is going to be set on a fictional city, so we're going to need lots of beautiful post-modern architecture on the inside and outside of the buildings, one section of the city is going to feature a warehouse district, a Ship dock (Water not Space xD) Lots of street sections a fair ammount more, this means it's going to take alot more than just one map use, meaning the forgers would have to make the maps interconnect seamlessly, much like a left for dead campaign And getting to the credits and such, yeah, you will certainly be placed in the credits of the film, possibly even sneak your gamertag into the actual movie itself as a nice easter egg to say a massive thank you to all the hard work you put in for a great cause. Do you have links to anything you've made before? I havn't posted a map yet (Although I've forged over twenty or so) but you can have a link to a preview of one of my maps if you'd like. It shows that I'm not sloppy but it doesn't show my full ability. Also, am I right to assume that there is going to be lots of maps made for this? Because making just one whole city in one map isn't gonna work.. <3
This makes me think you've never even attempted something like this before. 1)Nobody will sit through an hour and a half machinima. Nobody will sit through an hour and a half movie of anything unless they're pirating it! So yeah, know your audience; people with fairly short attention spans. 2)YouTube will only allow you to upload videos up to 10 minutes (may have gone up to 15) in length. 3)You want to make teh greatest halo movie evar but then you want to give it to Machinima's YouTube channel? They'll just make you take your version down. Besides, an hour and half movie at an acceptable resolution (with the amount of people you have and the amount of time you should be spending on it, I wouldn't expect anything less than HD) will come to around a Gigabyte in size... planning on emailing it to them, were you? Not trying to be mean or rude but just remember that a candle which burns twice as bright will burn for half as long. I mean that you can have a fairly dull candle burning for an hour but everyone will be pretty miserable in that dark room. Or you can have a candle which only burns for 10 to 15 minutes but in that time it burns so bright that people will want to light another one. You see what I'm saying? Also, surely making a machinima which is set in a city in a game which has very few city-based locations is a huge mistake?
Your wrong dude, a lot of viewers love to try new machinima, especially if it's reach. Your opinion is wrong...maybe ur one of those guys hating machinima dude, get your facts straight next time k?
Please, try not to rage every time someone gives you decent, true, non-hatefull criticism in a calm tone of speech. Doing so ends up making you look immature and full of angst, causing everyone else to lose whatever respect they might have had for you. Members of Youtube with Director status can upload well over an hour. Example: YouTube - Amv Hell 3 And I can see where you are going for keeping it short but if the guy wants to do one long thing let him. Affects you not at all one way or the other so what do you care?

Like i said in the forum, i'm trying to recruit talented forgers to create a bunch intergrated maps, i've got little to know forge skill at all when it comes to Halo, so while me and some of the other 20+ Boys are doing some of the many other tasks requried to get it done, we're relying on you guys to sculpt beautiful environments for the body acting.
