I'm reading The Shining right now. Its not all that its cracked up to be, but Stephen King knows how to set mood, and man is the foreshadowing creepy.
I stopped buying single issues of B&R after about the 3rd one and just waited for it to come out in trade. I just did not enjoy the new characters Morrison had given such significance to. Did not care at all for Toad or Pyg. Gotham City Sirens (what I read of it) was a lot of fun to read because it focused on the main players in the Batman universe: Harley, Ivy, Catwoman, Riddler and a few more. I dunno, it reads like a mix between a parody and deconstruction. It reads like it's written by a huge fan of the characters. Personally, I loved it. Both Cacophony and Widening Gyre. It makes you hate Kevin Smith for being such a lazy bastard when it comes to deadlines because he planned a 6 month break halfway through his 12 issue run.
I finished it yesterday morning. What took you so long? Also, my play and charge cable is ****ed and all my batteries are dead so I won't get to play until I buy a new one on wednesday.
Honestly, they have become a time filler. Also, does anybody know why Song 2 by Blur repeats itself? Every version I find is 4 minutes and I'm too lazy to cut it to the 2 it really is.
