Linu, a superhero without superpowers is just a crimefighter who likes to cosplay. I mean, if I were a billionaire with a mansion and a butler and my parents were dead, I'd go to comic-con every year too.
I wish I could take control of the batman mythos for a year. I have so many stories I'd like to tell with characters on the periphery.
Such as?... What character's would you focus on? [br][/br]Edited by merge: But only one detective with unlimited money can be batman
One-shots really. Scarecrow and the Riddler especially. I have some pretty cool ideas for them. I'd like to do some stuff with the Gotham PD guys (each their own story). Then do an ongoing with batman (either one) being an actual detective. lol
A lot of Scarecrow stories grow a bit repetitive and there's a lot of untapped potential in The Riddler. I'm personally not a huge fan of the current Batman mythos. Still struggling to come to terms with the whole "travelling through time" malarkey. And when I think about it, the majority of the better Batman stories are detective stories
Yeah, there was one where he was losing his mind because nobody took him seriously. They said he was a stupid criminal who couldn't do **** without the gas, so he breaks out and starts a crime spree. It had a TON of potential but the writer didn't take it the right way. That was the only attempt to show what makes Scarecrow tick, which I think is the best way to get people to like him as a character. And yeah I don't particularly like the current run. It was great in terms of Damian and **** but Bruce should have died.
Sounds like it could've been the perfect characterisation of Crane. D'you remember what the story was or who wrote it? To me the best aspect brought about by Bruce being gone is Tim Drake. Red Robin has been the must-read series this year for me. Batman and Robin has only really picked up in the later issues. Have you read any of Kevin Smith's Batman?
You shouldn't, you should play Batman: Arkham Asylum. I finished it 100% again this week. Making that 6 times that I've finished it 100% spanning over 1 PS3, an XBOX and 3 Gamertags. Also, why is your name Winston when it's Grif?
No I don't remember who wrote it. I keep hearing Red Robin is fantastic, but I haven't read it yet. As for B&R, I really liked the first year, but I stopped there at the reveal regarding Oberon Sexton. And no, but I heard it's stupid and plays out like a parody as opposed to a deconstruction.
