Somewhere upwards of 16 hours put into this one. RevOken Blood and myself, FlashPoint eX, have near-perfectly replicated Counter-Strike's "de_dust." Unfortunately, the true game-type of Counter-Strike cannot be forged. You are only allowed to plant the bomb at one location... as far as I can figure out. For the time being, don't try to plant the bomb at the Counter-Terrorist spawn. Counter-Terrorist Spawn Terrorist Spawn Bomb Zone A
I'm not even going to talk about how this post isn't up to standards. That's the mod's job. Anyway, the CS:S gametype is possible with a one phase invasion gametype. Invasion lets you set up a phase with multiple bomb placement and it switches teams as well during rounds.
Awesome, i think i might actually have some other de_dust downloaded though. Still i'd love to try it out with what slamm andrews said. If that actually works it'd be a fun day :^) Should you wanna play it with more people let me know, i've got at least a few people who'd play a cs game. Feel free to check out my fy_poolday remake. the bathrooms stalls made it a little tricky, but i think i did alright for myself, lol. It should be in my signature. P.S I think you're missing a box at the top of the terrorist spawn point.
Right. Nice work on the layout, it looks pretty solid. I was never too competitive on de_dust, but it looks like you've got the feel and jumps. I'd be interested in testing this out. Good work!
actually, it is posiible with one bomb. I did it in halo 3. all you need to do is label three objective points Bomb_Plant or whatever it is. It should work fine. it garuntees that the atackers are really the attackers and not defending as well. And ( in halo 3 at least) you can edit the plant time and reset time for the bomb ( although we used it for my search and destroy maps). It should work perfect, not to mention, it kicks Slamm's invasion idea's butt because there is more than 2 rounds.
I don't recall the stairs and ramp at the terrorist spawn being anywhere near that steep in the actual game... and Slamm's right. That's exactly what I was thinking about the game type. Only problem is that I don't think you can have the timer reset for setting a bomb... then again I haven't played any assault game types on Reach.
Set it up for One-Bomb and set the bomb spawn at Blue (I think) and two plant locations at sites A and B. The only reason I said "I think" to Blue is I'm not 100% sure that Blue starts on offense everytime. Whichever team starts on offense put the bomb spawn there (it's always the same team). The only thing that really keeps you from having a true CS game is the fact that if someone plants and a team defuses it won't end the round...or at least I can't figure it out.
Ya that was the problem for my version in halo 3. i could get it setup perfect except for the fact that they always had a chance to plant the bomb again. with invasion setting and more option there has to be some way to get it to work. Any ideas?
