Suggestion: Don't fall. Gem of the Week - Site Update January 16th & FHF V Winner Burn was originally intended to be a 1v1 map, but turned out much larger than I expected. I'm going to compare it to Sequence, the most known map. They're about the same size. And in my opinion, Sequence is too large for 1v1, but promotes movement so well, it makes it feel smaller. So it's actually large enough for a 3v3 at most. Although its set up for 4v4. And I think the gameplay excels, overall. Speaking of Sequence, this map also has "death pits," but not to worry, these are MUCH harder to fall into. The only real threat of falling to your death is failing the "Ladder Jump." The "Ladder Jump," brings us to our next topic: Movement. Travel between the two floors of Burn are easy. There are three lifts, one jump up and, as I said before, the "Ladder Jump." To give an idea of these here are a few screenshots of them. One of the three lifts. Me performing the "Ladder Jump." The map is also set up with two red lights, and a NextGen FX Nova, and all with NO SCREEN LAG OR Z-FIGHTING! The FX Nova is meant to make the red in the map stand out more, and to get rid of the blue. Since no one else has commented... I think it's a good thing that your map turned out larger than expected. The best maps play multiple people. The map is stunningly beautiful - Nice work on the special fx btw. DL from me, and next map shoot for more people than 1v1
I've ran through this a few times with you and forge and I definitely like it. Looking forward to giving it a few runs this week. Shame I haven't managed to get a game in on it yet.
Thanks! I have a 4v4 coming right not but there's one wall that isn't very aesthetically pleasing, which annoys me to the extent of not posting it. I will probably end up posting it anyway, as the map has something no other has had yet. I think. I don't know if its been used. We also have to try my new 4v4! I would have last night, but Bleu booted me because I was lagging. But that's because I was working on uploading that video^ -so my connection not being very good first off, turned horrible, sorry =/ Anyways, I got tired of waiting for the Tester's Guild and just posted it. map looks nice...but how do the custom powerups affect the gameplay of the map? Also I wonder if you have too many power weapons on the map too...also how do you make the ladder on the map?
Erupt, get yourself a mic and I can help you extensively with the respawn areas in forge. Its extremely hard to work with you in the current state of you being unable to speak. :/

To be honest, I do have a mic. I just choose not to use it, because I believe I'm much younger than you guys, and don't feel like taking crap about my voice and what not :/ Thanks, but most inspiration came from the up-side-down 'gold lift' on Sequence. Because, well, all the lifts on this map are up-side-down. haha, Citadel never really came to mind, but now that you mention it, it kinda does! Sweet! @anime halo Customs act as overshields with the gametype. And the map almost feels as if it has too few power weapons. The rockets and grenade launcher disappear from the game very fast, leaving the overshields, the sniper and the plasma pistol. The plasma pistol, being mostly unused, isn't too overpowering, although helps a lot with the overshields, as do the spikers, mainly leaving the sniper to be the decider. Also, the ladder is made out of one was shield 2's, pulling you up and then the last one is angled so it shoots you onto the ground where the rocket spawns, rather than just up. The idea came from Spawn of Saltine's (unposted) map, Infinieghty. Anyways thanks a lot everyone! EDIT: Flag spawns in CTF are to be moved. I played a 2v2 CTF earlier and realized they were abit too close. Changing and updating soon.
Really like a lot of your ideas on this map. Seem's like it would flow really well so I'm looking forward to running some customs on it. I didn't boot you from the party btw, I never boot people, but it would help if you used your mic and any a** that would say something just because you're younger deserves to be booted imo. Just dont act like Tommy

Erupt can be the next great 1v1 forger, I played this map a while ago and I feel ashamed to not be posting when I promised to post on his map. So yes, Burn, my favorite map made by him. I really love the gameplay of burn, it is much like sequence. I prefer this over Sequence when it comes to gameplay but I prefer Sequence over Burn when it comes to aesthetics. But this map's aesthetics are unique because the FX make it look like a smoked/burned out fire. Im hoping this map can get into FF or Featured. 9/10 Could of added more wreckage to the map to make it look like a burned out map.

Good aesthetics and FX because not many use those. I have downloaded and wouldn't mind running some customs with you if you want. Considering that I keep seeing you (Hi Im Erupt) and SecretSchnitzel on the forums all over the place I would love to get in on some customs with you guys since most of my current xbox live friends don't play reach. Thanks for the mention about my map I'd like to get a game in on this sometime soon since it looks so pretty. Your maps improve quite a bit each time you release them. I'm looking forward to see your own ladder thingy.
Haha, yeah you can thank me for any attention your map is getting . Lol, no, Infineighty deserves more attention then it's getting, sadly. And some pukey maps are getting tons of attention. It's dumb, really. I'm gonna nominate yours for FHF V, I think. And thanks, since I joined here I've been understanding this whole Forge thing way better. So I suppose my maps should be looking/playing better. My ladder is basically the same as yours. Just that it's hanging over a death pit, and is marked with an Active Camo AA. It doesn't have your aesthetic 'rums' that your ladders have, because I felt that was more towards stealing, rather than referencing the idea into my map. Anyways, thanks a lot! If your on tonight, I'll be glad to run customs with you. Although I know you prefer Minigames...

Very nice map indeed. It looks like it has a rather "old skool" 90's shooter feel to the map with the dark colours, multiple levels, death pits and thin walkways. Which i like. Nice job.
