Machu Picchu Created by LIGHTSOUT225 Everyone has seen ancient pyramids and temples made in Foundry. But it would be difficult to find one that is more intuitive and beautiful than Machu Picchu (pronounced "ma-chew peek-chew"). Add in a central Incan Idol and some custom powerups that bestow the powers of an Incan God and you've got a winner. Even after several games on this map, you'll still be discovering new things and admiring the aesthetics. This asymmetrical map is best for Incan Capture, the one sided Flag game variant. It also comes with a One Bomb game variant and a Team Slayer game variant that work great too. Play Machu Picchu with 6-8 players for the best results, although it can support up to 10 in Slayer. Cool, all the maps I dled months ago are now getting featured. This looks awesome, interlocking is absolutely flawless, it just looks amazing. Although, playability wise this isn't the best map, although I haven't tried every gametype me and the people in my party all agreed that it looked awesome but we didn't enjoy ourselves that much when playing on it. I dont mean to be mean or anything but that's just my opinion. BTW: How come you barely ever see people dissing the featured maps?
What version did you download? This is the third, and LIGHTSOUT225 spent a lot of time and effort to adjust the gameplay in the second and third version. It showed a dedication that is far too uncommon among map authors.
i never did get the chance to actually playtest this, but i thought the layout, replication, and everybit of thought was just beautiful, i gave it a 5/5 then, and i give it a 5/5 now
I have heard of this map before but never seen it. It looks beautiful and well created. Great job LIGHTSOUT! P.S. Will an infection map EVER be featured?
doubtful as there are few maps that are spectacular made for infection, but anyway, i was wondering furious, why don't you add the graphic that he had in his original post here, that really gave it some flava ;-)
I'm unsure, I dont remember. I'll dl it and let you know what I think of this version, after having a closer look at the pics I'm pretty sure this isn't the one I dled. Anyway I cant express how stunningly great the interlocking is.
yeah this map finally got featured. Its got a great theme, excellent use of geo-merging and interlocking making this map quite the pretty map and the gameplay is very fun. I know its been said but i love the interlocked walls as ramps. Looks beautiful and fits the theme. another great feature.
Woohoo, the Pats are back! Glad to see this in the Featured section, LIGHTS. This map is well done and plays great. Congrats.
That pic is no longer displayed for me. It has been replaced with the Imageshack "Image doesn't exist" error pic.
This has to be one of the greatest all round maps i have ever seen. Lightsout you have done the website proud by creating a stunning piece of architecture, that even the Incans would look up to. Gameplay wise this map is sound. You captured the tactics and quick-thinking that objective games require. Weapon and Spawn placements have been tuned and tweaked to perfection, showing your dedication. Bravo.
I don't believe I've had the pleasure of playing a round on version 3 yet. I know I helped test version 1, though, and it was pretty fun back then. Great level layout. There's a happy mix of long and short range combat opportunities, and it's always nice to be an incan god for a bit.
Finally this map is featured. This map is amazingly made and set-up and it looks awesome at the same time. One of the best maps I have ever seen. I don't I've dled v3, so I'll have to check it out.
Great map from what I can see but I don't know until i've downloaded and played, so I'll get back to you.
I was just commenting v3 on bungie, and I came back here to find it featured! Congratulations, this map certainly deserved it. I don't download too many gametypes, but Incan Capture is too fun to not have.
this map is very nice lightsout225 recomended this map to me during tgif night and now im glad that its on forghub
