"The Minotaur awaits anyone who dare disturbs his home."

    YouTube - ‪Halo: Reach Forge Map - Labyrinth (w/ Gameplay)‬‏

Labyrinth is a map made for infection. The zombies storm in the Labyrinth (a giant maze) and attempt to take down the Minotaur (the human).

The layout is simple; It's a huge maze, with a small open spot in the middle, and two weapon caches hidden within the maze.

I had the idea for this map during school. I was sitting in I think speech class, and thought "Hey, a Labyrinth infection map was be freaking sweet!"

Basically the zombies (technically the humans, but they are the zombies) initially spawn in a cave that they climbed through. Then they enter the maze. The minotaur spawns in the middle. Once he is taken down, the round is over.

The map also works well with Juggernaut with the same options as the infection gametype (the minotaur is the juggernaut, and everyone else are the people trying to kill him).

    Gametype specs:
    • 7 Rounds (5 min. each)
    • No Last Man Standing
    • 15 Zombies (1 human every round)

    The Minotaur (humans):
    • Brown Forced Color
    • Gravity Hammer Primary
    • No secondary
    • No grenades
    • No AA
    • No weapon pickup
    • Infinite Ammo
    • 125% Damage Modifier
    • 200% Melee Modifier
    • 500% Damage Resistance
    • No shield recharge
    • 75% Movement Speed
    • 75% Jump Height
    • Enhanced Motion Tracker
    • 75m Motion Tracker Range

    Humans (Zombies)
    • Shotgun Primary
    • Assault Rifle Secondary
    • Starting Equipment: Sprint
    • No Grenades
    • Normal Movement
    • No Motion Trackers
    • Respawn Time: 5 sec.
    • Weapon Pickup enabled

    Weapons/Equipment
    • 4x Shotgun (5 extra clips/no respawn)
    • 4x Assault Rifle (5 extra clips/no respawn)
    • 2x Evade (no respawn)
    • 2x Armor Lock (no respawn)

    Time for some pictures.

Now get out there, and bring us back some a minotaur pelt!

This map looks promising, but is there a roof on top of this? if not, people could hop off of each other and walk on the walls and never get killed. But that aside, i like how you made this map, good job!

There isn't a roof, but there is a soft kill barrier just above the walls, and it is impossible to jump on top of the walls, unless something crazy happens with the gravity hammer.

I feel that the overall maze is too small. the middle minotaur spawn allows them to leave in open areas. there should be walls guiding you there. and you should use wall doubles. thats just my opinion. but it looks alright

This is what I get for waiting to post my map. The first thing I did when I got Reach (September 14th) was build a labarynth in Forge. I made it specifically for a gametype I made which I called Minotaur. Oh well, I'll post it soon and we'll let ForgeHub choose.

I had a lot of fun playing this with my friends. It actually made me jump sometimes (from the minotaur popping out of nowhere). Though I think that besides the AA's, the weapon caches are useless, because you'll most likely die before running out of ammo, but this is a fun map.

They are kind of useless in the custom gametype, but in normal infection games, they are actually quite useful if you're doing well.

couldn't the zombie/human jump onto the top of the walls and find the human/minotaur or vise versa?

Actually, no. This is because two reasons:
    1) Under normal circumstances, no one is able to jump on top of the walls; The jump height isn't tall enough.
2)If they do manage to get on top, there is a soft kill barrier, so your not going to be up there for long.
I kept this in mind when building it. For example, originally, the weapon caches didn't have the top part, so people could get on top from the shelves.

And plus, doing this would just give away your location.

So yeah, no one is getting

One more thing: this map is also pretty good for normal infection, especially with all of the radars turned off. Except you might want to turn down the jump height and turn up the gravity for zombies, unless you want an insane challenge.

HOLY CRAP!! IT IS!! I feel so special now. I can't believe that the gametype is in that section...now if only people would stop making fake mods/nudey models, the map could get in there too.

EDIT: Well, it's only in the most downloaded this week, but still, that's pretty awesome.
DOUBLE EDIT: Well, the map is in their too, just a couple pages down.

    Edited by merge:

So now the map has more downloads, but 10 likes, while the gametype has 31 likes...people make sense.

I was just playing some team slayer on this with some friends, and it was actually really fun. It wasn't anything you would play competitively, but it sure was entertaining. I wonder how a CTF game on this would work...

Well if you want to play on a labyrinth meant for more competitive play, you can download this guy's map, Laborynthe. It's a lot different then mine, but hey, that's a good thing.
