/*This map has been replaced with v1.1, which can be downloaded here.
The download link has also been updated.

    Experior Locus

"This UNSC facility, dubbed "Experior Locus", was the location for testing reverse-engineered Covenant Technology. 2-10 players."

Experior Locus (which literally translates from Latin to "Test Location") is a small symmetrical map that was originally going to be a 1v1 map, but then it got high, and just sort of wandered off...
Not really. Actually it just turned out a little bigger than I thought it was going to be.
The design is very similar to Heretic and Zealot, with a few influences from Guardian.

It supports all gametypes, with the exception of Invasion and Race. I recommend 2v2 Slayer.

The map consists of 4 levels.

The bottom level holds the Energy Sword (90 sec. respawn), and two of the grav lifts which take you to the top level. There are 5 pillars, one of which is the Energy Sword holder. Two sides (longways) have the entrance ramps, while the other two (sideways) have hallways that lead to the grav-lifts)

Main Level It is in the shape of an oval, and in the center it has the grav-lift to the top level. It has 4 Plasma grenades, two on either side (sideways), and two DMR's (longways). On each corner are boxes where some of the initial spawns are kept. Two of these act as bases for Red and Blue Teams. Near the middle on the outside are two ramps on either side which lead to the middle level and the top level.

The 3rd level is basically a catwalk running around the entire map.

The 4th and top level consists of the platform in the middle, the two Lift exits, and a catwalk running around the map. It has two DMR's at either end (longways) on the catwalk.

    Weapons
    • 4x DMR (2 extra clips/30 sec. respawn)
    • 1x Energy Sword (90 sec. respawn)
    • 4 Plasma Grenade (15 sec. respawn)

    Supported Gametypes
    • Slayer Variants
    • CTF Variants
    • Assault Variants
    • Infection Variants
    • Territories Variants
    • Stockpile Variants
    • King of the Hill Variants
    • Headhunter Variants
    • Oddball Variants
    Now on to some pictures:

I like what you did here it looks like a good map.
Ups- I really like this layout it has numerous different ways to get around, different stories and levels with many ways to traverse them giving the map good mobility and gameplay
downs- aesthetics are lacking, think of adding lights, crates, cones, decorations, rocks, scenery, anything to brighten up the map and make it more appealing to the eye as this goes hand and hand with the gameplay experience

overall though it looks like a great map with a good layout and weapon placement good work

Hey thanks for the compliments and constructive criticism. I did realize that the aesthetics were lacking when I posted it, but that isn't the only part of the map, thankfully.
But it would be nice if we had some more lights to work with. We had 4 total on Sandbox, but we have less now. I did actually add a blue light in the block above the energy sword, I liked the subtle effect it had. I don't know if you can tell from the screenshots though.

I gotta say, this map played very well. It flowed nicely and the weapons on the map were pretty fair. But, as Straf3tality said, the aesthetics could use something to bolster them. Though it's nothing to gawk at, it is pretty clean though.
Overall, this is a pretty good map.
Also, I like your use of Latin in the title. Kind of hard to remember, but it sounds pretty cool.

Hey thanks for the praise. But I guess I'll have to improve the aesthetics I guess.
