Hey guys, is it just me or is Notch really lazy? It's like 8am in Notchland. That's when I wake up, but he is Notch. I kinda want the beta.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if he was waiting 'til midnight at GMT-11. This way the entire world would get Minecraft Beta on the 20th.

 

So anyone know whats coming in the BETA? There are sure to be some major updates...

 

The skies are trembling, pigs are growing wings, and the nether is turning awfully cold...?

 

Were the **** is my beta?

BETA IS OUT GUYS! ITS REALLY OUT! I RECIVED AN UPDATE!

Yes, beta is out, and the coolest thing I've noticed... when you hover over items in your inventory, a name tag appears.

 

So what is different from the Alpha that is in the Beta? I read Notch's blog but is that really it?

 

I havent had a chance to play yet, but the game updated a while ago. Im not really in the mood to change it, but if something significant actually changed, then Id probably go try it.

If anyone could mention anything different that Notch didnt mention eg, the name tag appearing after hovering over something, then Id be happy to give it a go.

 

Name Tags for objects

Throwing bird eggs

Tree leaves decay (YESSSS)

And Notch mentioned something rare, I dont know what it is.

 

Another question that probably cant be answered, but can I use my old mods, or do they all have to be updated?
