Call of Duty:Black Ops gets its First Downloadable Content called "First Strike". This Map Pack includes 4 New Multiplayer Maps and 1 **** Zombie Map. The Maps are called Discovery, Berlin Wall, Stadium and Kowloon. While the **** Zombie Map is called Ascension. No word on the Zombie Map but the Multiplayer has some details. Discovery: German Research Station abandon in WWII. Kowloon: Based off the Campaign, a Rooftop Map. Stadium: An Northeastern United States Hockey Arena. Berlin Wall: Takes place at Checkpoint Charlie, a Battle Between East and West Berlin. The Map Pack Releases on Feburary 1, 2011 and is (15$) 1200 MSP. Definitely won't be spending money to get this. I thought Black Ops was a good game (and I still do in a way), but then I realized that because of Treyarch's customization "improvements" they've gone and made anything you had to work for in past games (Perks, Camo's, etc) and turned it into "Hey, play a couple of matches and buy this ****".
Hmm... I would go pretty crazy and rant about how expensive it is... But at the same time, it does come with alot more content than the same priced MW2 dlc's.... But still, its completely overpriced. I almost definitely wont be getting it, it just depends completely on how bored I get of the game within the next two months. Also, Activision are greedy bastards. If it was up to Treyarch, I can guess it wouldnt cost that much. But Im only basing that on the fact that IW didnt want their DLC going at 1200 either...
I'll be honest. If a good number of my friends get the map pack, I will. I hate being in parties without the latest maps anyway.
I heard that Ascension will feature the characters Mason, Woods, Hudson and Bowman from the Campaign. EDIT: Sorry, not Bowman. I meant Weaver.
No definite source, I've just seen a few people mention it on the CoD Forums. Don't take my word for it, it could be a bogus rumor.
Ugh, I'm definitely not getting any dlc as long as its multiplayer mixed in with zombies, they need to make separate packs for the two, when they do that and have a zombie only pack, I will buy that, regardless of pricing. (unless its like 3200 mp or something stupid like that)
Oh I dont doubt it, its highly possible. And if so, it would be pretty awesome. Regardless of fanboyism, I think BLOPS is a fantastic game.
You actually pay less per map than say a bungie map. Heroic Map Pack: $10, 3 maps, $3.33 per map First Strike: $15, 5 maps, $3 per map You mad, economics?
like me bbe. Honestly 15 bucks isn't a whole lot of money, and Treyarch has the better maps imo, so I don't personally care about the price tag. Also am one who doesn't like being the party failure who doesn't have the 'sweet new maps.' I'll be downloading this Feb.

800 MS points=10$ 1200 MS Points=15$ Plus, if three maps cost 200 msp each, that equals 600msp. Not 800.
