I've been playing guitar for a while now, and about 2 years ago I started broadening my musical tastes and listening to some metal bands. Now that I've been playing for a while, I've been able to learn some pretty awesome songs. But right now I'm kind of stuck. :/ I've gotten kind of bored and don't feel really challenged by the songs I'm learning... :/ I like killswitch engage, as I lay dying, avenged sevenfold, breaking benjamin, etc., but I'd like some suggestions for songs to learn... Either songs by these bands or bands like these would be great. Also maybe something that has a good rhythm guitar line (like my curse - killswitch engage ) Help a fellow guitarist plox?
All that Remains is definitely a similar band. You might wanna look into some Trivium if your into that lighter metal, but if you want something a little heavier that'll give you a challenge you should learn some As Blood Runs Black. YouTube - As Blood Runs Black - In Dying Days (lyrics) I can play this song but I haven't got it up to speed yet. It's extremely difficult for me to try and keep up with the song as I'm playing it.
Learn some stuff by August Burns Red.. I've been playing there stuff lately and they have a few sick riffs. I suggest learning August Burns Red - Composure
