Description Warden is a symmetric map designed for 2v2 or 4v4 team games. There are two bases, one red and one blue. Both have a path leading to Yellow Building, which is the central building that is colored yellow. Below the yellow building is the shotgun room which isn't very big, it's only made to house the shotgun so there's not much room for battle there. There's a walkway leading from the shotgun room to the bottom middle which is roughly the same size as the bottom mid from Guardian. From the bottom middle (coming from shotgun room), you can either go left to red base, right to blue base, or straight to rockets. If you go to rockets, there's a central lift that will shoot you back up to red base. Or you can (if facing bottom middle from rockets) go right to red base, left to blue base, or straight to shotgun. I chose the name Warden because the map has some inspiration from Guardian and Lockout. After thinking, I figured a synonym for "guardian" would be "warden," and a warden is sometimes what you would call the guy in charge of a prison. Lockout (the name, anyway) can be related to prison, thus giving the name Warden a double meaning. Looks pretty decent, very simple, but well balanced, you defiently could make this MUCH ASWOMER with some aethstics and other stuff mabye some more bridges, but great start
I added a bit of decoration to the yellow building which isn't in the pictures. I didn't want to have too much decoration and end up having framerate issues or too many places for people to jump onto as hiding places.
i like the symmetrical bases and the idea of the yellow building where the main action takes place but i thing you shouldve added more to the underneath of the yellow building instead of having just a shotgun room because you had a chance to add a lot more like more bridges, passageways etc. overall, it looks good for small rounds of 2v2 action but you had a chance to make it better by adding more stuff and you shoudnt worry about framerate issues because even if a person has a good or bad connection, you should consider your map playability and aesthetics over framerate issues
I honestly don't know how I would have made more to it like you suggest and still keep the guardian/lockout inspirational feel to it. I might consider making a larger shotgun room and maybe even make the second floor of the yellow building accessible.
Ran around the map with a friend. Really like the way you forge but the map is sorta unoriginal with the layout. I do like drop downs from top bases and bottom mid is layed out really well but it has the same old sorta feel once you go around it a bit. I'd love to see more work from you in a unconventional style.
Thanks for the feedback, but this map is supposed to feel familiar. Not too familiar, though, I wanted to make it a new map but with inspiration from old maps to make it feel like a mix of new and old. If you want something more original, you might like my Myrmidon map instead.
