Cabbage Patch kids in the hall Download Map:Cabbage Patch Download Gametype: Conquest V3 Here 'tis, my first Legendary offering. Cabbage Patch bends Ghost Town into a linear map. This is accomplished first by sealing off the central building and the greenhouse. Then, a wall is built between the two, which results in a C shape. Here's the wall: This makes it perfect for the Conquest gametype. Here's the layout. Red and blue bases are indicated. Some interesting things that set it appart: Weapons. For the most part, standard Conquest weapons are used. I did however add a Sentinel Beam in the center and turrets to the bases. The sentinel beam is not placed at start and will only spawn once per round. The turrets will also only spawn once per round in Conquest, so it's a good idea to restrain the urge to grab it until the last crucial 45 seconds. However, if you can take your opponent's 3 early on, you have a clear shot at fusion coils that will knock your opponents' turret off the tripod if they were saving it. Devious! This room: Flow: Since the map is now roughly linear, I added a few things to increase the flow. And since the bases are asymmetric, I build counterparts for every element on the other side. Each side has a CPU, with a few avenues to access it from either direction. The grav lift is precisely placed to accommodate the Mongoose. As is the man-cannon. On foot, it will shoot you to the catwalk. On the Mongoose, you should clear the catwalk and land gracefully on all 4 wheels (it doesn't always work that way). This brings me to CTF: Cabbage Patch is also a great CTF map. There are enough side paths to work for something besides Conquest. I would like to point out that you haven't really played Conquest until you've played Orange vs Green Conquest. Walking Heineken bottle: And finally, some FFA shots. FFA is also fun. Aw man I loved playing on this map. It has really great gameplay to it and the chokepoint gets really intense battles. Its a perfect Conquest map. I see me in pic #14. I died but it was still fun =]
Ohh I loved playing this! I am, byt the way, the guy throwing the spike grenade at the mongoose. Anyway, this map was well altered and was legitamately fun. All I can say is I had SERIOUS spawn issues, I spawned either directly in front or right behind people a number of times. But really if you have a smaller party I hope that wouldn't happen...
Was that only during FFA or did it happen in other games too? I think we did overcrowd it during that FFA game.
yay I was in the 15th pic (with the red star on the shoulder) yes finally a great conquest map that is (fun for all ages) LOL this map is the prime example of what an origonal map should be like thank you for making a map like this
Why is a Conquest map in the casual section? Is it a zombie Conquest map? I'm very interested to see what you've done with Ghost Town, Pred. This looks to be a lot of fun. Oh, and this picture is sooo awesome. You've got my DL.
Blocking off the middle has given it more of a sidewinder feel to it, yet still retains its ghost town side. You did a very good job.
the map is awesome! however, there was a problem with it, in the center bridge with the small tunnel, i dont know if it was my friends' IQ and tactics or not but i noticed that under the bridge there was ALOT of camping making it very difficult to get more territories, I personnally love the map, and it would be nice to make a foundry version, but hey, about 60% of the halo community doesn't apreciate fine maps that people make, so what can we expect from people like them OVERALL: the map was awesome, just the center seemed to be like a grenade spam and camp area WAY too much
Very lovely map. I'm downloading, but I have an issue. Seeing as that I have OCD, a few items are bothering me. I would suggest geo-merging a few items to allow things to fit better. Still, very creative map. =]

Great job Pred. I remember testing this a little with you, I'm glad you finally fixed the CPU spawn for red so it stands out more now.
