Noble Map Pack released

    Go back in forge and check out the scenery objects. You may be pleasantly surprised if you haven't looked yet. Sure, its not the Forge World pallete, but 150 rocks, some walls maybe 50 I think?, and a big bridge piece along with one way doors should be enough combined with terrain for you to come up with a small map.

    But I'm disapointed with that too because Breakpoint would be great to forge on, and probably better than Tempest although they did do a good job with the terrain on Tempest I think, particularly the caves. But Breakpoint has caves too lol...

    I wish Breakpoint would have been as forgeable as Avalanche in Halo 3 at least. :(

    Honestly I was expecting all 3 maps to be somewhat forgeable since we paid for them seperate from the game. I was expecting Tempest to have about the budget it has, maybe less, with the objects it has basically, and then I was expecting Breakpoint and Anchor 9 to have about a $5,000 budget with about half of the forge world objects to use...

    have not. i suspect it must be gametype specific or not placed at start or something strange like that,
    im also missing a laser somewhere on Breakpoint as well.
    and theres a few respawn zones that are un-deletable and placed in odd spots, out of the map

    so after playing some team dubs yesterday i was very surprised to see A9 already in the mix, i thought they would have through it in today. but with that being said id like to shoot some feedback to the hubbers!

    anchor 9 - is a great map (im only talking doubles play, nothing else, i haven't tried that yet) the overall design is clean, nice, and user friendly. by far one of the better doubles maps to play on. The bases are well made and there are enough escape routes and side halls to pass through. but they still manage to give it that open feel (like pit, obviously)

    but there are also a few negitives for me on this map...

    1-rockets! the rockets arent bad by anymeans, its the spawn time that needs tweaking. as of now spawn time is set to 90seconds - with 4 shots! which caused a lot of camping for the rock-drop. but i noticed to if people were trying to stand behind the glass, you could actually still melee them threw the glass (glitch?)

    2-shield doors. just a small problem with these, people like to do what everyone did in snowbound when those doors where still there - stand right at it with a shotgun, or just melee punch. once again not a big problem just something i noticed (yes, i know they would take out the doors cause that wouldnt make sense!)

    3-weapons. from what i saw there were only 2DMRs/2NRs/1shotgun/1Rocks, and i think a needler somewhere. i think the addition of a sniper on the opposite side of rocks would balance the rockcamps and space fights.

    ....i think thats it, but all-in-all this map is GREAT! i had fun playing it. just had to get used to Arena Slayer! (one nade!!!!!!!!!!finally, a skill nade!) but i wasnt used to radar again, oh and THANK GOD they took AL out! lol games started moving faster...again

    So where in the **** is the Gravity Hammer on Breakpoint? I was really surprised when someone came out of nowhere in a BT Slayer game today and pummeled me into a bloody pulp with it. I must have spent a half hour searching for it in Forge, but I came up with nothing...

    There should have been two MG Turrets, two needle rifles, two needlers, two DMRs, and two plasma pistols each symmetrical with each other ( 1 plasma grenade that I saw, too ). Then the Rocket Launcher and shotgun in the middle. I don't think there needs to be a sniper rifle on that map. I feel that map is more geared towards having CQB, which is definitely needed... thus no need for a sniper. Perhaps remove the rocket launcher and replace it with a fuel rod gun. The many walls and corners would make a fuel rod gun more fun to ricochet around corners on that type of map.

    If you're on the spartan side of the map, it's under the building before the mountain in the middle. If you start from the spartan spawn, you go through the first sewer pipe and have to go left or right. Go left and it's at the corner.

    shroomz - yea i agree, if the rocks where moved to the middle that would be "more" balanced. i just assumed since they said it was based on the pit and the pits movement that a sniper would be a given! i guess you know what they say about assumptions!?!?

    we were actually laughing about last night when we played for a while,
    at how its funny that it says "weapons" with an arrow pointing inside,
    yet there are barely any weapons in there.

    My friend doesnt have the map pack and he tried to play some normal slayer matchmaking and it says that he has to have the map pack. It said it for all the playlists. This happen to anyone else?

    tell your friend to actually read what it says.
    it says you have to have the pack to play the maps.
    if you dont, youll just be placed in lobbies with other poor kids.

    Just had the most fun ever in any game iv played. Noble Map Pack playlist, got a game and 4 of us Aussies were shouting 'STOCKPILE ON ANCHOR 9'. Miraculously people listened and we got that game. Just before it starts the two others on our team quit, but it doesn't phase us.
    So the game starts and progresses a bit. We managed to a get a few flags each time, but never the whole bunch for the achievement. We're all shouting 'get the flag! Its here! Spawned in middle! Etc'. Even though we were outnumbered we doing pretty well.
    Towered the end a window opened up and we managed to get 3 flags. We placed them just outside the ring in case we didn't get them all. Suddenly one of us appears with the final flag. We chuck em all in wait for the next, most intense 22 seconds of our gaming lives. Then 22 seconds later 'BLEEP! Achivemet unlocked' followed by 'game over'. The next 5 minutes was a mass of incomprehensible shouting of joy.
    Moral of the story: team work gets you anywhere.

    Yeah I tried this tactic whilst in Party with Buddhacrane... The absolute numskulls on my team had no idea of the intentions I had by taking the flags out of the hill to keep them nearby and I kept being betrayed...
    When we finally did have all four in the hill.. the noob that kept betraying me, saw me next to the stockpile protecting them and HE TOOK 2 OUT THE HILL WHEN IT SCORED THE OTHER TWO!!!! I was well annoyed...
    Finally we managed to get three in our score zone, and the other flag was in the enemies zone. I charged over to the base, raped their team and proceeded to return to our in zone with 20 seconds on the clock... I wasted no time in getting the **** outta there and charged to our base only to hear "FLAGS COLLECTED!" when I had just reached the Score Zone.

    EPIC SAD FAIC :( :( :(

    Wait... You already get the Achievement if only your team gets all flags? Woot. Thanks god i don't have to grab em all myself.
