Submersion

    This map is genuinely awesome, I've never seen water used this way before.

    The only crit I can think of is that when I played a game, there would always be someone on the sniper ledge camping. It's not usually a good idea to put a sniper in a place perfect for using it, for that reason! Perhaps put it on the edge, or make it harder to reach?

    Everything else about this is great though :)

    I did not like the map at all, but I recommend it...to some other people... When you steal a flag is so easy to hide in the water and get melee kills, and it all ends up on "Whoever recovers the flag scores a point".

    :) I love this map, but I would love it more if it was "Barely touching the water"

    I loved this map. The reduced visibility under the water adds a new dynamic to the gameplay as you try to determine if that shape ahead is a friend, foe, or piece of the geometry.

    The layout isn't too complicated - but it is something you need to learn as falling off is very easy to accomplish if you jump a lot. I wish there was some way to add a text message letting players know not to jump.

    I know Submersion isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I love it.

    I actually believe that for that very reason, 2-bomb Assault is by far the best gametype. It's pretty intense if you can't see where the bomb is coming from, and there's no incentive to simply hide underwater in the back of your base with it. Unfortunately there was no category for Assault in the contest, but they did say they reserved the right to consider a map for other types (Slayer, KOTH).
    If I do any further updates beyond v1.2, eliminating hiding with the flag will be my top priority.

    I haven't gotten to try it yet, but i saw someone complaining of poor visibility under water. i recommend adding in some lights down below, I think i recall that helping with visibility under water.

    I did have them, a blue and a red, to help identify which side you're on under the water. They actually don't illuminate dull surfaces at all - only the glass ones that already "glow black" underwater. They created significant framerate problems underwater, so per a tester's recommendation I deleted them.

    Two bomb assault looks like a better Idea to me, once you have memorized where the holes are in the map... :)
