Hey everyone. Im not here to complain i just think that i was scammed out of credits. I am happy about my rank but im just really confused on why im not a higher rank. My service record:http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/commendations.aspx?player=HEROEZ BLADE117 Take a look at my service record and tell me if you think I should be a higher rank. I see people that are colonels or higher with not even a single onyx commendation. I really dont think thats right. So all im asking is if any of you think I should be a higher rank or if any of you have the same consern.

Onyx ranks give you a quite a few credits which u have like 12, they do give u quite a bit but matchmaking how i see it give way more in just a few games. People work to get onyx it takes forever and u may only get a few thousand for it. when u have like 4 games of team slayer u get the same amount.

Playing in multiplayer which you don't do as much as everything else. Multiplayers gives more credits. You haven't been scammed or anything, theres just people who play the game a lot more then you do.

i have 3 gold commendations which is in firefight which me and my mates play quite a lot.

I don't get it either, but that's mostly because your link is broke.

Anyways, you weren't scammed out of anything. I don't fully understand why you think that, or why you would even use the word "scammed" seeing as how its actual definition has almost nothing to do with the issue at hand. You got a certain amount of Commendations in a certain amount of time. The total amount of credits you get is X(Number of Commendations) credits. People who go on Matchmaking for an equal amount of time get Y(Amount of Time) credits. If the total of Y(Amount of Time) exceeds the total of X(Number of Commendations), then how does that qualify as scamming?

Keep in mind they may have done more daily/weekly challenges than you have. Commendations aren't everything seeing as I'm a Colonel Grade 1 and I have a friend who's almost a Brig and I have a higher commendation progress than him.

Fixed the link in my post... it was another thread about him complaining about his commendations progress.

I have had the game for about 2 weeks, hardly even go on my xbox (i has a social life) and I am already a Warrant Officer. I don't credit farm and I don't pay any attention at all to challenges or commendations. I play the game to have fun; normally matchmaking, but also with customs, forging, firefight, and campaign thrown in now and then. That way, I have lots of fun, and guess what? The challenges and commendations just come to me without me even having to do anything abnormal, and right now i has some pretty swell armour. So the moral of the story is, play the game like it is suppose to be played, and in your own time, you will unlock the armour you really want, which at the end of the day, is what the credits and ranks are for. FYI, nobody else actually gives a **** what your Spartan looks like, or what your rank is.

I know, right?!? Despite what we told him in the other thread, he still went and kept farming his commendations for useless cR. My guess is that he didn't even play campaign to get them. He probably had the wraith gunner do it all on Long Night of Solace while he was doing something else.

Kid. Onyx Commendations in Campaign and Firefight mean nothing...
    Nothing. At. All.

Trust me, get an Onyx Commendation in Matchmaking and then you'll be a high rank.

Also, just a little explanation on how commendations work

Campaign - The higher the Commendation, the less credits you get
Firefight - Doesn't matter how high the Commendation is, the credits earn stays the same
Matchmaking - The higher the Commendation, the more credits you get

Also, Bonuses for completing commendations in matchmaking are substantially larger than completing them in Campaign and Firefight.

So, break away from your AI friends and play against some real people if you want more credits.

Lol. I'm a Lt. Colonel Grade 3 with no commendations above gold and only a few that high.

I spend most of my time goofing off or play testing whatever maps people invite me to.

Only time I really go into matchmaking is either with a group of my friends or to get a challenge.

Long story short, you want to be a higher rank, aim for the challenges and play against REAL people. The AI is easy, an actual person capable of thinking beyond the programming is the true challenge and Bungie rewards accordingly.

EDIT: Lol at my commendation progress.
