Covenant Assault Carrier

    This map was a lot of work and I am confident it is a masterpiece, it is designed for invasion game modes, it is designed for a variety of tactics and heated combat anywhere and everywhere, with plenty of angles paths, secrets, and strategies to exploit.

    Let me know what you think?

    Also I am attempting to put together a group of about a dozen people to assist me in play testing this map so that I can enter it into the forgetacular contest.

    This is great. The human base is a bit dull compared to the dazzling cruiser though. Nice aesthetics!

    It was designed so that there will be heavy combat in the air (the falcons,the warthogs, the turrets, banshees, and whatever else u can throw at them. Then the combat should **** into the hanger as the Spartans board the ship, (human base is nothing more than a staging area and the warthog is an "anti air turret from hell" thus preventing any spawn camping with banshees. After the Spartans take the hanger the fight should move inside the ship and mostly stay there the rest of the game.

    It looks pretty smooth. I like it. However, I'm just wondering how the UNSC parked a 'Hog on a moving Covenant Cruiser. :p

    I was gonna build a pelican droping the warthog and the supplies off in the hanger but I defiantly ran out of money and parts.... Use ur imagination.

    Oh, my. This is amazing. It definitely looks exactly like the Assault carrier.

    Grading:
    Originality- 9.5 I've only seen this once or twice.
    Design- 8.3 Looks covenant on the outside, but not the inside.
    Realistic- 9.6 Definitely looks like it from the outside but it doesn't look like a covenant structure inside. Needs to be more purple. But of course, we haven't seen much of an assault carrier interior in the Halo Series.

    Overall:
    9/10

    Thanks man, I designed the interior for playability, and I don't know about you but I haven't seen any really good pieces that just yell "covenant". I did set the lights on everything to purple, but that's kinda the extent of the purple that I have avaliable. I used every penny I had available, not to mention almost every piece available.

    I'm also accepting recommendations for my next project, though it may be hard to top this one.

    I understand what you're saying. Covenant structures are hard to make because their structures are oval and round while the objects in forge are brick-like. That's why you see more frigates than assault carriers. I saw an assault carrier in Halo 3 but It was square-ish so I have to say this one is much better.

    Thanks man. And ur correct everything is square and nothing ever seems to match even if the coordinates are correct. I had to do most of the interior free hand, the first version I did was trash compared to this and was way to square.

    I helped with more ideas and the design, but my own version is being remade, thanks for all your comments me and tony are very greateful and will take on your ideas.

    Very impressive! There have been a lot of posts with covenant cruisers, to my knowledge this is the first carrier class ship. Awesome that you made it playable, usually there is a significant budget hole, when you make an aesthetic map compatible with a gametype. However it doesn't seem like it in this case.
    Great job, good luck with the contest.

    Do you have a link to that assualt carrier?



    The outside of the map is amazing, I downloaded, and saw that parts of the inside are cramped, and small and narrow. If you have any budget left, maybe try making a version 2 where the UNSC base has more aesthetics, and the inside of the Assualt
    Carrier isn't so narrow?

    Woah, this looks just like a carrier, and from what i've seen it's impressive on the inside too! I'm the 200th downloader and i liked it!

    I love the design of the cruiser from the outside and what is the point of the ghosts do they just sit there?

    The ghost's were put there i believe for looks mainly but do have can be used in gameplay so a bit of both, We or more so capone is currently remodelling the carrier.

    But unlike myself i have started a brand new one of my own! as previously stated my version of a covenant assualt carrier, http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-forge-discussion/113914-clarity-faith.html check it out and eave some feedback!

    I think it's great, the design and scale of the thing are very impressive, i love the banshee tubes.

    Dislikes: Intra-ship teleporters, you only have one, and its the best use of an intra-ship teleporter that i have seen, but i still hate them.
