Minecraft Fable III Halo Reach Although I've put Halo Reach up there, I have only aplyed a few of the games to choose from, and I honestly struggled to put Reach up there, I feel that it was just full of gimmicks which don't contribute positively to gameplay (that's just the way I feel, please don't take offense).

Yup. Very few on this site are such hardcore fanboys that they think Reach is the best game this year. Im a fanboy and will support the series to the last, but I KNOW there are games here that deserve game of the year over Reach.

Guys, I was wondering what to do when it came to voting. In 2008 I narrowed the nominees down to 10 games and allowed people to vote in a poll, and that was that. However, this year I was hoping that I could change it to where people were required to PM me their votes in order to make the winner a little more secretive and exciting. So I was wondering if most people would be able to trust me enough to do this and not skew the votes. It's simply an unofficial GOTY voting thread, I'd have no reason to change the results in my favor, and I think it would just make the reveal a little more fun. Thoughts?
Halo Reach Rock Band 3 Considering these have been the only two games I played this year, I'm not going to vote for something I haven't played. Agreed, I personally can't stand polls on this forum, people's votes are swayed by what the results actually are, and then they intend to change what they originally wanted to something ideal that could actually win. So I'd definitely prefer the pm method.
Considering Reach and Bad Company 2 are the only 2 games I've played that were released this year, I'll have to vote for Reach for now.
