You should find a friend you trust who is a US citizen, and have them submit it. If your map wins, simply have them mail you the prize. Problem solved!
Is the thing I am part of an advertisement for your own awesomeness..? Didn't really feel like joining in on that one.
i dont mean to burst your bubble, but download count doesnt not equal a forgetacular win. your map has that many downloads because of your amazing, gorgeous, and unique architecture. people simply see the pics and go "WOW" and auto-DL. this really does feel a bit like megapwn said =\ but good luck on getting your assistance.
I've realised I'm not going to get the support of the community, I should have just carried on keeping to myself. Sorry for getting to excited over nothing important to the forge community. sorry for wasting your time, I will take my post down now.
I'm sure if any map got enough downloads and likes it would become "massive." I looked at your maps and it seems like you need to work on your flow, I just seen awkwardly placed spheres connected by tubes. I came here thinking this was a charity or something.. it's some guy that thinks his map is the greatest thing ever. Haha.
Summed it all up really. If anything this is against the rules because your just advertising your maps.
Typical Americans being typical asses to some one who obviously is on the other side of the language barrier. He made a good map and mistook it as good a good sign as being an ace map. All he was trying to do here was find some one who was willing to submit it to the contest on his behalf as he is not American and is unable to participate as a result. But leave it you y'all to be so caught up in your ignorance and overlook something as simple as this. You disappoint me. You shame me to have served on behalf of any of you.
He should have said that that is what he wanted or at least reacted to that advice when Jex mentioned it. Don't start spouting nonsense about things you don't know everything about.
Dude, your lecture is way out of line. He's a guy advertising his map in the wrong place plain and simple. If you look over my post history you'll see I usually am a very supportive commenter and give only constructive criticism - I don't go out of my way to insult anyone. But this post was simply a misuse of this forum. Regardless of how well he knows English (and though his post is now gone, I didn't notice him having a particularly poor command of the language - quite the contrary), he acted just like everybody else who is only interested in trumpeting their own virtues. ForgeHub has rules against this sort of thing, as does Bungie's forum, as does basically any place that wants to be something other than a haven for spam. And now that the original post is gone, I can't demonstrate the point, but I did not read anywhere in it that he was asking for someone to submit his map for him. He did talk about being disappointed at not being able to submit, but the rest of the post didn't seem to be about that. Mostly it seemed to be asking people to download it and play it with him. That = advertising.
hello.. see there are still comments on my taken down post. well first I will say there are a load of arrogant people around. I wasn't blowing my own trumpet... I wasn't advertising. The map is getting the downloads wether I get the support of here or not. It is still rising in dl's, and this wasn't a ploy to get more views. I did ask for people to test, maybe send me screen shots if they could. I asked as I don't really have many friends on xbox as only been on few months. I first posted on here, so as this being where I felt was my main forge publishing site that some of the community would want to get involved...How wrong was I. Half the time you get comments on here if not more they are negetive, very rearly anything positive is said. So I have given up trying to please the people on here.... There are a few that are helpful, friendly and kind. thanks. Hell I even appolagised but still the moaning comes. I just got cought in the exitement of making a map that was successful, I have 5000 dls,in 6 days. Just thought it was going to be popular.... Funny thing is everyone else seems to like it somewhat, although here, no one gives a dam... and here probably being the largest halo reach forging site u would think the community would notice something doing well. Well I've learnt my lesson, I will just keep myself to myself. And I will follow the suit of most of the people that comment on my map...and not look for maps I like and want to play and look for bad maps I can just rip to shreads. Thanks SecretSchnitzel for trying to stick up for me. I know there are some sound people on here. I did give thanks on my post to all the forging community before I took it down too.
