I kinda thought this was Bull considering they sponsored the DWP, but when I read the DWP announcement... Wow. That sucks.

Minecraft becomes beautiful once you play it a bit and realize every block translates into direct player action. Take the prettiest 360 game and the graphical flourishes only serve as a layer of separation between the player and the actions he can perform within the game's landscape. Minecraft is total interaction realized and is visually appealing in a way unique to games.
How exactly are external severs run? My dad is going to buy a family hard drive for my home network and I was beggining to wonder if I could run my sever on it (my server's just for my IRL friends). If that works then there might be a possibility that I could host other servers too.

5 people on a single server yeah sure, that's fine. He said he wants to host friends stuff on the server and host for other people too. Yah. That will need a V.Fast internet.
So I'm pretty hard set on finding a good dedicated server hoster for me to run my Minecraft server and so far, just by browsing the Minecraft forums I may have found two dedicated servers that doesn't seem all that bad. I currently have an average of 5 people on usually but during the weekends and times after school my server population grows to around 8-10 people on constantly. So, I think the best option for me right now is to buy enough ram that can host like 15 people and then hopefully that will be enough and I won't have to upgrade to anything larger for a bit.
Plugpayplay.com are doing a good deal, I think the package comes with mcmyadmin as well because phonicuk is working with them, I see him round the teamspeak all the time. Ohh BTW, when you set it up, I have an epic map W.I.P in single player which I am designing for multiplayer. & If you need any admins.. *Cough* cOLD.
A little late to reply now since I already bought/rented the server and so far it's been great. My users love the little to no lag. It's a little weird not to have to constantly watch my server now, but I love how I can now use my computer again without lag from either the Minecraft or the server sucking up my ram. And the convenience of having direct access to my server when I need it, is great!
Do you need any donations? (not that I have any money ). I reckon it'd be awsome if B3nw joined the server (if he hasn't already). And now to say something that doesn't make this post seem too short....... hmmmmmm......... yes.......
