    Hi all,

    I have made an infection map designed to be played with one zombie only. I want to make the game so that when the lone zombie is killed, the round ends.

    I have respawn settings set to allow one life per player, but the round does not end when the zombie is killed. Other than that, the game is perfect.

    Does someone have a solution?

    Thanks!

    Score to win 1 would work provided the zombie doesn't get points for killing humans. If you want the zombie to score points I'd suggest something like this : Zombie kills human 1 point. Human kills zombie 5 points or 10 or whatever. Score to win = human kill point total for killing one zombie.

    This. Bungie screwed up with Zombies in Reach and if the one Zombie dies, the round doesn't end.

    Edit: oops double post

    You could set the score limit to one point. One point per kill for humans. No points per kill for zombies. Zombie victory: one point.

    So you want it so that there is only ever one zombie, no matter how many humans get killed, hence the 1 life limit?

    Could you not switch the game type around?
    Give the zombies the human loadouts and player traits and humans the zombie loadouts and traits. The player you wanted to be the zombie would actually be the last man standing and all the players you wanted to be humans would actually be zombies with 1 life.

    When the "zombie" (the last man standing) is killed, the round will end.

    Switch Humans and Zombies.

    Infection generally has one victory condition: if all Humans die and become Zombies, the round ends. However, Infection is not a team game; it's actually a separate team system hacked into an FFA game. So when you limit lives, you end up with two victory conditions, and one of them must be satisfied to end the round:

    • All Humans infected. [Infection]
    • Only one player left alive. [FFA]
    This differs from what you would expect (and what Bungie should've done):

    • All Humans infected. [Infection]
    • All Humans out of lives, or all Zombies out of lives. [Pseudo-Team]
    In short, you must switch Humans and Zombies around. If you have loadouts, you'll have to get rid of them.

    Thanks you suggestions, guys, I appreciate it. But I think I'm gonna go with D1KK0 on this one. I have everything finely tuned for both Humans and Zombies, and would be a pain to switch them around. But if you want a quick description for the game (so you know what you've helped with) , here it is:

    Backstory: UNSC Officials decided to introduce a specimen similar to a Flood combat form to help train Marines in combating the new menace in a secure training facility. Things didn't go as planned (as predicted by one Official), and naturally things went to pot. A UNSC atmospheric carrier has been dispatched with a squad of Marines to neutralize the specimen, which had been locked inside the training facility.

    Map layout:
    - The training facility is built into Forge World's coliseum with a series of buildings, bridges, walls, and other areas designed to train Marines in close quarters combat. There are a few weapons in the map, including two machine gun turrets in two buildings opposite each other. There are some open areas, and some tight quarters. There is one door to the facility, and is covered by two one-way shield doors.

    - The UNSC Carrier resembles a modern day carrier, but is hovering above the water via "antigrav engines." Marines spawn inside the carrier and make their way to the flight deck where several Falcons will be waiting. The humans will fly the falcons to several landing pads at the coliseum to get into the facility.

    Gameplay:
    -There is one zombie, which is slightly faster than the humans, can jump slightly higher, but is not very strong. It will take two slices with the sword to kill a human, or an assassination. It will, however, take a few shots with a DMR (as an example) to kill it. The zombie has poor camo, allowing it to stay fairly well hidden when still, but lifts slightly when it starts moving. The zombie also comes equipped with hologram, which is a good way to get humans off your trail (or my favorite thing, give them a nice scare when they come into the facility).

    -The humans will be able to select from 5 loadouts:
    1) Assault rifle;
    2)DMR;
    3)Shotgun;
    4)Grenade launcher and two frags;
    5)Magnum with two frags and sprint.
    It will take at least 5 shots with the DMR to kill the zombie, so conserve ammo (which is very, very scarce). You will be able to heal up at any of the 4 or 5 health stations, which don't respawn. Stay in a group! If you go lone wolf, you will NOT survive, as you do not have radar or shields.

    I will upload the Map and Gametype as soon as I finalize the settings, and get pics.

    Thanks again, guys.
