***Release v1.3.6 is newest published version*** Map Description: This complex once hosted crucial inter-government meetings. Obviously they didn't go so well. VIDEO PLAYTHROUGH: Sorry I get off to a slow start - I just love sitting in that turret loft [bungievid]9247551[/bungievid] Forgehub Thread Link: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-competitive-maps/107986-embassy.html
What? How many others have posted videos of their maps here? Isn't that what this section is for? Why is there a Halo Suffix then?
I haven't seen any map video posts here, except for one preview. This isn't a place to just advertise maps, and theres more to halo videos than map walkthroughs.
It's fine, videos have been posted in the past of people's maps. Usually though they go in the map thread. @Toast, just watching your video I saw a lot of camp tactics and way too many health packs. Cut those down to two.
Seems like a pretty cool map. I still can't figure out why you spent so much time on the turret, seeing as you got a whopping zero kills with it. Besides that, you were whoring that room as much as possible in the beginning. I agree 100% with rusty as far as the amount of health packs. There's a portion of the video were you grab two health packs within 20 feet of each other. I can't explain it, but for some reason I hate turrets. I find they serve no real purpose, rarely kill players and just make you extremely vulnerable. I also think they take away from aesthetics.
This run of mine in the video was the best I have ever done in a single round. The round we played before this I got 5 kills the whole 10 minutes. This is why I am not worried about health packs - I created the map and I got owned big time by people with less knowledge of the layout. With this info I decided that 5 health packs was fine. I have since this video moved health packs in some locations to a more spread out location. I didn't want to spend more render minutes on a new playthough cuz it costz muneez. As was noticed, camping can happen in the loft but results in almost no score so it really doesn't matter to me. Turrets attract players and plenty of people in playtesting break it and carry it down into the main lobby. (and I did get 1 kill with it) The turret loft acts more as an emergency exit for firefights. People chase each other through the teleport to the top and attempt to evade each other.
