This is my fifth reach map on forgehub. It is assymetrical and designed for intense 1 flag CTF games and One Bomb games. Some other gametypes work too. 4v4 works probably has the best gameplay. In FFA you can be on any team. I hope you enjoy and PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!!! constructive criticism please. I did very light testing on this map so if you could play a game and give me some balance issues that would be great for a V2. There are pictures and if you hate looking at pics theres a walkthrough vid if you scroll down. I changed the focus rifle to a sniper with 1 extra clip. I made the weapon locations more obvious and I added a few more DMRs and Needle Rifles. I also uploaded a gameplay vid if you aren't too lazy to scroll down. EDIT 11/25/10 (V 1.4): Re-placed spawns. A very safe way to get to the flag because no weapons or anything are down there which means less traffic. The lift which makes no sound whatsoever when you go up through it. It takes you from the ground to the highway. A very sneaky way to go and a fun escape route. EDIT: I made the lift smoother. The highway. A long route with a decent amount of cover. The downside is you can see the someone on the highway from almost anywhere on the map. The attackers spawn area. They get a ghost and behind the covenant barriers are DMRs. The flag capture point is in the little base I guess you could call it. The flag.(Or the bomb plant zone) You need to capture this(Or detonate it) to win. It's fairly hard to camp because there are 4 routes to get into the red base. The abandoned beach warehouse. Inside there are two needlers and a health pack. There is also a balcony with a DMR that can watch the red base and cover your team as they run for the flag. An overview. It's not too big. It's not too small. A very fun match awaits you. =) I gave it an arena feel with the tunnel braces. Wow looks awesome. Any way you could set this up for One Bomb Assault? I feel like that would be pretty epic too.
After a long time I finally managed to get some time to add more gametypes to the map including 3 plots, 1 bomb, ffa with any team, oddball, Koth, crazy king, and headhunter. I also made the lift smoother and added some more cover. Please redownload and remember to give some constructive criticism =)
The map looks awesome, I really like the high way. Good thing you edited it to work with 1 bomb assault, I have been looking for maps for my lan party.
Very happy to hear One Bomb got added. Don't ask why but when I first saw this map it was the first thing that came to my mind so great to see it.
Very much enjoyed playing on this map. My only reservation was that I found it hard (at least in the heat of battle) to locate range weapons, and it was very frustrating getting chewed up by DMRs while unable to find one myself. It might be a good idea to add more of those and needle rifles in open, obvious locations - or maybe just play slayer DMRs on it instead, since this is one of those maps like Standoff where you feel basically useless without an effective range weapon. Anyway apart from that small and easily fixable gripe, I quite liked it. The best part to me was that you took an area of Forgeworld's natural scenery and made it feel like a logical place to be playing a smaller outdoor game. Good location selection, and good job building a map in it.
thanks for the feedback. Will be sure to add the ranged weapons so that they are easier to find. I didn't expect as much ranged combat as there was in that game. Im uploading the gameplay vid soon.
wow you took my advise and you changed a lot about the V1 to make V2 It looks really good, ill take a closer look DLED
this map was fun to play on with you one thing that stuck out the most was having a human sniper and a covi sniper for each side= not fair definitely would be in your favor to have the same weapon for each team
I would kind of agree with that, it's not like the old Halo 2 and 3 days with the sniper and beam rifle.

I really can't see anything. I really think it looks good, although that counted as spam I guess ><. But the structures are clean and smartly placed around the natural geometry. You have good line of sight. I guess if you want me to be critical I don't like the look of the rock arch that much, but that's more of how that rock looks than how you used it.
Thanks for the feedback. The rock arch by the red base is supposed to be a big line of sight blocker so the red players have more protection in the red base. For everyone else viewing this thread, I changed some weapons and the placement of the weapons now are easier to see.
Hey, here with some last minute feedback: First a question, why the tin cup flags in the middle of the map? I think it would be better if they were face down (unless you wanted the aesthetic of the flags in the middle)? Also, I believe on the defender's side the top of the three story tower you use for the flag return is too closed off in my opinion. It makes hiding in their too easy if there's only that one way into it. And one final thing, the ghost seems pretty hard to destroy especially at the start for the defenders. I was able to flip it once or twice with frag grenades on the highway but it would be nice if defenders had at least one more way to destroy it, maybe by putting some plasmas near red spawn area? Anyway it was a blast to play on. Good luck in the contest.
Yes I could put some plasmas near the red spawn but I don't get what you mean with the 3 story tower, do you want it to be deleted? and the flags are just aesthetics. I think I'll keep em
