I just finished a map and there is no visible framerate issues when walking around but in one place on each side when you zoom in with the snipe there is some noticeable (not unbearable) sreen lag. My question to all of you is: Does a small amount of scope lag make a map unbearable to you? Like I said it's not everywhere, only when you zoom in once not twice in a certain area. Thanks.
How big is the area? Like are you talking about looking at a certain spot on the wall? (Big or very tini?) Or a big general area of the map?
Its a smaller map 2-8 players and the area is from elevated to looking down towards the front entrance of each base. It's not a lot of lag like jumpy just noticeable frame drop.
I sort of get you, but it would really help if you had a screenshot, so I could depict a better picture.
When you are zoomed in, is there any visible natural objects of Forge World? (i.e. the waterfall, built in rocks, etc)
You can just join my game if you are online atm. I don't want to post screens until I get a map preview up. The map is boxed in with no visible areas of forge world aside from grass in the bottom part and the sky. in the zoom it is just structure I built.
take asylum for example i hate looking from snipe-to-snipe b/c of the lag. so i have got use to no-scoping the start of those matches, or not even looking towards their snipe spawn. just grab the snipe and move to right wing or your dance-deck. its a shame b/c nothing pisses me of more then missing an easy snipe b.c of lag. BUT if it is not as bad as asylum then i think people can adapt to it...but if all else fails to removing any z-fighting or try to reduce the number of merged objects you see when your zoomed up!
