    I posted this in Competitive maps already but asthetics are what fuel this little monster... Although it is not really the most artistic Distortion style map, it is probably the most disorienting one.

    "Spartan Clone training facility designed to test spatial memory capacity."

    Inspired by both Halo 3's Community made "Disorient" and Halo EC's "Chiron TL-34" this map is made to promote mind-blowing and crazy gameplay in any game mode. This map takes a typical close quarters, symmetrical, arena-style map and puts a twist on it (literally). This map features 45 degree angles in relation to true vertical and 6, 2-way teleporter sets linking 3 main caverns (red cavern, center cavern, blue cavern).

    Prior to posting this map I tested it with teams of 3 to 6 players in every game mode as well as some FFA gameplay. The map itself is fairly small, but even with 12 person FFA it did not feel like players were just bumping into eachother with too much frequency. Once most of my testers learned the map it was one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences I have ever had. Due to the "walls" that you seem to be able to walk up this map requires and promotes creative thinking to gain an edge on one's oponent.

    Comments, opinions, and feedback are greatly appreciated. Anything that will make me a better Forger.

    not bad, but you aren't able to walk up a lot of the pathways you should be able to, and the ones you can, you seem to slide to the side or off completely, and some you just cant walk up...After Ten Minutes Of Testing Your Map I Was No Longer Disoriented, and had figured out how to camp out the teleporters for an infinite win.

    try and alter the angles of some of the pathways down a bit so you can traverse them, and take the covers away from the teleporters so people who try and camp are still vulnerable.

    message me if you wanna forge sometime, i build things similar to this.

    and the pathways?

    i could go there right now and get multiple assassinations by hiding behind the teleporters, any of them.

    The direction you face while coming out of a teleporter depends on what direction you face while going into it. Even it it werent this way you have a 1/3 chance of camping the right teleporter. Unless you can anticipate that direction and have spartan-like reflexes to counter sprinting and jetpacking, assassinations are very rare.

    Yes, on some of the pathways you either cannot walk up them or you can only walk in the corner of them. I put in the ones you can't walk up simply because they throw people off. In order to correct the ones where you can only walk up in the corner I would have to place them at no greater than 35 degrees. I wanted to go with 45 degrees for the whole map in order to maintain the illusion. Besides, this only effects four of the ramps, and they are small ramps.

    But We Aren't Talking About People Who Are Anticipating A Camper(s)
    We Are Talking About The Unsuspecting Masses. Because Sprint And Jet pack Are Both Easy To Overcome :)

    Vertichron 34 serves 2 purposes: Confuse the **** out of players new to the game or new to the map in general, and serves as a battleground for advanced players looking for a new aspect to the gameplay reach offers. I have no aspirations of Vertichron winning in the forgetacular competition. I know it wouldn't because it doesn't cater to beginner players. Time and time again Vertichron has proven to make the most intense gameplay because it requires you to think more than a normal map does. Just like Chiron TL-34 did in Halo CE. It was even easier to camp the teleporters on that map, too.

    distortion on halo3 was the original....and nothing either of us ever forge will do that map justice.
    im not giving you **** because you trolled a post of mine on bungie....
    im giving you **** because this map has more potential than just aesthetics....
    this map has potential for many things, including the forge contest....thats right, i said it...
    fix the teleporters with something innovative because advanced players like us WILL camp the teleporters and any other advantages for an easy win and you know it.
    make a few parts easier to traverse....and i am (Seriously) looking forward to looking at this map again...if you fix some ****, i will even help you advertise...just not on this site because the mods will have my ass if i **** up any more....
