Score: 50 Rounds: 3 Time Limit: 8 minutes Damage: 0% Damage Resistance: Invulnerable Primary Weapon: Gravity Hammer Infinite Ammunition: Enabled Player Speed: 50% Player Gravity: 200% Sumo Arena 1 is a large-ish arena located on the cliff face on Rat's Nest. It serves well for team matches up to 16 players (but is recommended for 12) and is excellent for free for all melees. The cliff edge of the maps serves as the obvious death trap, but man-cannons along the sides and teleporters parallel to the cliff are both just as deadly.
Sumo has been done, its been featured. It appears to be your first map but this doesn't look great. It belongs in minigames and although you can turn off power and make ppl invulnerable you cannot turn off assassinations. It looks like you've put some thought into it.

Okay, sorry. I didn't mean that it looked crap and that he should give up. I meant that he should perhaps think about changing the name, not to something completely different but I dunno, something like sumo hammer or flying sumo. For a first map its good. And if I'd said this to him face to face it wouldn't have been in a nagging tone. I meant that it seemed as if there'd be a lot of assassinations which I dont think was his intention. Again, I apologize if I came off as a Jackass

yea sumo has already been a name, but this looks like it could have some fun free for all, and the assassinations would just be one more thing to watch out for.
An effective way of making sure no one leaves the ring without penalties. Alternatively, you could set up a king of the hill variant where you loose points for every second you're not on the hill, and loose even more if you get assasinated. If you get pushed out for too long, you loose. Of course,this would have to be honor rule bound.
Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it! The assassinations I tried to limit with slower player speed, making it difficult to get behind each other, but beyond that I'm not sure what I can do about it. My initial idea was just a map where players have to knock each other off to score, but I'll look into a King of the Hill version (I was also considering CTF and Oddball variants of some kind). I'm going to playtest it far more thoroughly though before making any more modifications or new maps. This isn't my first map, though. I've made a few on Halo 3 since getting it and used to make maps for FarCry: Predator on my friend's Xbox. Speaking of a Predator, I made a gametype based on that film some time ago that has been popular with my friends and was planning on uploading it. That hasn't already been featured here, has it? (If so, please tell me the details so I can compare it with my version, see if it's still worth sharing.)
