This is a beta test for the map, requires a few aesthetic (mainly that teleporter strut) and gameplay adjustments Give me some feedback on how the map is game-wise as of now and I can move some stuff around for ya. Hasn't had a proper playtest yet. This 'special' map (my first big project) is based off of Battlefront 2, which had multiple maps dedicated to 'space battles' which involved destroying capital ships from both inside AND outside. I cannot supply X-Wings and Imperial Shuttles and cruisers half a kilometer long, but this will do. This is based around territories, but with a twist. Each Cruiser has 4 plots: Engine/Engine Room, the Hangar, Missile Pod, and Life Support. With exception to the Hangar, these territories can be not only captured from the inside, but destroyed as well. The trick is that these territories are tied to a destroyable object like a Plasma Battery or a Warthog. Once you destroy a territory, it will dissapear after about 30 seconds (not instantly) and suck points away with it. Although anti-air weapons like Rockets, Grenade Launchers, the Missile Pod, and other vehicles will make that job fairly hard. There are 3 classes, one designed for dogfighters, for defenders, and for infiltrators. 4-14 players. 12 is the best amount. Each Cruiser carries: 2x Banshee 1x Falcon 2x DMR 2x Health Pack 1x Shotgun 1x Grenade Launcher (may be swapped for sniper or another Rocket) 1x Rockets 1x non-drivable Warthog (disguised as a anti-air turret)
Wow, looks awesome! I LOVED BFII space battles and was planning on making a BF map and gametype myself. You have my DL. Edit: One question, how exactly did you make the the territories disappear after you blow up a plasma battery?
Set the Plasma Battery as "terr_object" which makes it a territory. Give the territory a shape. When it explodes the base will remain for about 30 seconds. When it disappears, so does the territory. Tell me what you think!
