So this is my first puzzle for Halo Reach. I have created a few for Halo 3 too. I tried to use as many tricks as possible that's new for Reach. And not only from Halo 3. So there's 6 challenges. The gametype is an Oddball variant. Everybody has to be on the same team. This map is designed for one player but will work with up to four players. And there's some things that only the host can do. But only one person needs to do it. You can also play as both Elite and Spartan. Both of them have advantages and disadvantages.


CHALLENGES

CHALLENGE 1





TUTORIAL

SPARTAN

1. Go to the end of the tunnel and pick up the DMR.
2. Stand on the side so you get higher up and crouch jump on the ramp sticking out of the wall and then to the next floor.
3. Change to your Plasma Rifle and pick up a shotgun or pistol, and place it below the end of the tunnel.
4. Change to your DMR and stand in the middle between the two walls.
5. Aim about 45 degrees up and swap the DMR with the weapon beneath you.
6. The DMR will now float in the air. And only the host can see it. Jump up on it and then to the wall above.
7. At the end of the tunnel you'll find a mongoose under the floor. Where the 2x2 blocks are. Enter it and you'll be in a different room.
8. There's an AR in front of the window, pick it up.
9. Stand close to any wall and look down a little and shoot until you die.

ELITE

1. Go to the end of the tunnel and pick up the DMR.

8. There's a AR in front of the window, pick it up.
9. Stand close to any wall and look down a little and shoot until you die.​

1. You will see six dice. Jump on them to get to the other side.
2. In the labyrinth there's a Grenade Launcher you will have to find.
3. When you find it, look for an exit.
4. Now you'll have to use the grenade launcher to blow up the fusion coil. See if you can put the grenade close to the fusion coil. When you do, hold in the fire button and stand on the teleporter.
5. Let it explode and you'll instanstly teleport.
6. Push the fusion coil in the water.
7. Jump on it and then to the other side.
8. If you look at the water near the mountain, you'll see a rock. On the rock there's a Sniper Rifle. You can simply just walk over to it. There's a grid under the water so you won't die. But don't go anywhere else on the water.
9. Pick it up and walk back to the platform.
10. You can now use your Sniper Rifle to shoot a fusion coil that's on the island.
11. Then jump in the water or use the plasma grenades to kill yourself.

ELITE

CHALLENGE 3

1. There's two Frag Grenades and a Grenade Launcher in the room. Pick them up.
2. Stand close to the edge and try to place a grenade at the bottom with the grenade launcher
3. This is probably the most difficult part on this entire map. It's all about timing. You need to jump down at it and try to release it so it explodes right before you land. And don't forget to crouch right before landing too.
4. If you don't survive you can try again and also add a frag grenade. If you want, you can try it without the frag grenades or the grenade launcher. I think it's possible to just crouch before landing. But you have to time it correctly. You might need to try a few times.
5. When you survive the fall, there's a Sniper Rifle on the floor, pick it up. There's also a ramp. This is actually not that hard. You need to crouch-jump on the ramp and then jump on the edge of the ramp. If you can't do it, you can use your grenade launcher as help. Or if you have any grenades left you can use them too.
6. Now turn around so you have the killball behind you. There's an mongoose to the right, behind the wall. Enter it.
7. Get off the mongoose and jump over the ramp.
8. Pick up a Drop Shield and go in to the man cannon.
9. Deploy a drop shield before you go in to the killball. But don't get too close before you deploy. It might kill you even if it looks like you're outside it.
10. You have unlimited use of equipment. So before you get outside of the drop shield, deploy a new one. And keep doing like that until you get to the other side. But don't get too close to the center of the killball.
11. Now there's a hole in the wall. And, you should have a Sniper Rifle. There's a few Fusion Coils at the cave that leads to the canyon. You need to hit one of them with your Sniper. You also need to jump to see it.
12. When you hit one of them, you can simply go in to the killball so you die. You can enter the teleporter at the spawn to get to the next challenge.

ELITE

1. You will immediately be "OUT OF BOUNDS". There's a rock to the left. Under it, there's a Mongoose. If you quickly enter it and drive towards the canyon you'll survive.
2. In the kill zone, there's also a Sniper Rifle. Wait outside the kill zone a few seconds so that the timer resets to 10. Then drive straight to the Sniper Rifle and pick it up. Quickly jump back into the mongoose and drive back towards the canyon.
3. In the canyon, there's a Man Cannon. Go into to it.
4. Shoot the Fusion Coil on the other side.
5. Jump down to the canyon to kill yourself. Then enter the teleporter at the spawn to get to next challenge.

3. Use Evade to get to the other side before the timer reaches 0. Otherwise you'll die.
4. Behind the wall right after the hallway, there's a Mongoose. Enter it.
5. Pick up the Sniper Rifle.
6. Use the Sniper Rifle to blow up the Fusion Coil over at the boulders.
7. Enter the mongoose again and then enter the teleporter.

I think you need to jump a little to the left. If you can't find it you can look in forge. Also, I will add pictures for the tutorial later today when I get home.

 

Hint: There's a mongoose somewhere in the room where you enter the teleporter that leads to the underground part.
