don't know if this has been posted, lights bounce on the water, it's kind of unpredictable how long they keep bouncing for as I've only just discovered it - create a light, hold above the water by some distance, change it to Normal physics and let it go. No idea what to do with this yet, if anything, but who knows what else bounces...
I haven't played a game with it yet, but it lets you choose in the lobby whether you are human or zombie. It might be overridden by the option to choose the number of starting zombies though.
its already been requested bud. mods dont stick on popular request, they stick on whether or not they think this is an appropriate thread to stick. dont post spam comments like that again.
Spartan Supremacist Always edit your maps as an Elite, It prevents Elite racism! I love elites and whenever I play a custom map with small vents and other stuff. I CAN'T GET THROUGH. Just a heads up the Elites have huge heads. ( No pun intended )
or make spartan only barriers in your map so all the annoying kids who play as elites get put in their place.
It's not my fault Bungie put them in the game ( Elite Racist ) but a number of people play as elites, not to mention if you're making a invasion map. Of coarse if you want it to be impossible for them to get by you still need to be an elite and then switch to spartan.
I haven't seen this posted but I'm positive it has been posted somewhere before. If you want to make an object such as a kill ball roll down a hill or shoot through a man cannon and always spawn into the proper place once it de-spawns you must place the object while its set to phased or fixed into the position you want. Then after you have let it go set its physics to normal. That will allow the kill ball and just about every other object, to spawn floating and fall. Its a pretty simple tip, but I have seen a lot of people ask about how to do it. Again, its a simple tip that took me a good few minutes to finally figure out. If anyone runs across that situation who doesn't know that trick, they would find the information useful and time saving. Also, you need to check out this thread http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-...10887-mancannons-not-powerful-enough-you.html Basically you can phase grav/vehicle lifts into one another to increase the distance it throws you. You can use 8 vehicle lifts phased together with a warning that is may cause lag. I tested out the vehicle cannon and man cannons and the vehicle cannon does work, but the man cannon does not. Someone said that the grav lift does work as well, but it only increases so much after you phase more than one together. I think he said it really only works when two are phased together, and adding any more doesn't increase the distance anymore. And another post I found adding more uses for shield doors. You can place a shield door phased slightly into or close to an object to cause a player to stick to that object. It works in the same way the elevator does, except you are being pushed into an object and since you cannot pass through the shield door fully you are suck to that object. This can be used to cause players to stay stuck to a floor or a ceiling. Although this technique could easily be figured out with some trial and error, or with knowledge of how the shield door affects the player, I think it may be worth adding to the list. I found out on my own how the shield door could keep you stuck to the floor but I had never thought about how it may stick you to a ceiling even though I had used it in an elevator before. The post I found it in is here http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-forge-discussion/110934-one-way-shield-barrier-glitch.html One more thing I promise. It has been used in several maps that I have seen, but I see the question asked quite a bit. Maybe it would be worth the time to test out what objects you can use with specific game types. Kind of like how you can set a soccer ball to the capture point in a stockpile game, or how you have the stockpile goose tip listed. Maybe there are more things that can be done like that with the game types. Also, it may be worth the time to list the soccer ball hill for stockpile method.
So do powerups. I noticed it when I was trying to make a custom powerup spawn above the water; I accidentally dropped it and it started bouncing. I was just watching it for while going "wtfman"
The problem is that those are static objects. The reference point will eventually reset and the object will become immovable. This thread is more focused on methods that help in custom games.
Nice little glitches. I plan on using the boat one, and maybe a few others. One trick I found (that im sure is pretty common)is that in invasion, you can make more than just gates disappear, but entire structures. Just put items to INV_Gates, put the spawn sequence like you would a gate. Then in invasion, objects will disappear each phase. One example is I had an energy tower. You had to plant a bomb and after that it disappeared. I didnt see this up there, but its simple and some people dont know it.
yeah true, didn't realise they become static outside of forge, should have checked that but I got distracted with experimentation with the lights in forge, simple things and all that lol
Ok, I've looked and looked but I does anyone know how to get more than two lights on a map. I don't know if this is the right place to ask (if not could you point me the way?), but I thought that it would be most appropriate here. I've seen this on many maps, normally race maps, and I would like to know how to do it aswell. Does any one here know how it's done, and if they do, it would be a good tip for the forum.
Not my idea, just passing it along "Floating" weapons Place the weapon on top of a flag stand, the stands will float and are a useable base for the weapon, but can be walked/jumped through Source: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-...04-how-make-weapons-float-normal-physics.html
THANK YOU! I've been mad ever since Reach came out and saw the weapon holder was gone. I am going to use that on my next map! The only problem is when you drop and object on Fixed/Phased it floats. Still using it!
