I have an idea for a map that needs a dome in the middle and I was wondering if it was possible to do so with Curved Walls. I've see some Zanzibar maps with the main wheel made out of the curved walls and I thought it might be possible to allign them to make a dome but I'm not sure and I don't want to take on such a task without it being feasable. Any thoughts?

i doubt it is possible because you would need alot of walls and you would have to align them perfct and it would take a long time.... you could make a dome that curves on only one side like this:
    ..../----\
    ../.........\
    /............\

idk how to show you on a key board... LIKE A BARN! ya

It's very difficult and the alignment would have to be perfect I attempted something like this once failed miserably.

We have the coordinate system for a reason. If you calculate the positions before forging it this shouldn't be too difficult.

Exactly, just give a bit of time to math and everything should work out fine. I made a dome with walls in H3 for a map (turned out ****, didn't have enough objects) and it looks really cool, but only from the inside. To make like a bubble, is supremely difficult.

I think someone dropped a tiny bit of food on your post dude, cause I know a Journo sure as hell wouldn't put a comma there. ;)

But it's true. Because walls are square, you're going to have corners sticking out where the walls (or any flat object) overlap to form the dome when viewed from the outside. The bigger the dome, the less of the curve each wall has to make up and the smaller the overlap will be, but it'd have to be huge and almost definitely unusable within the rest of a map (not to mention taking an insane amount of objects) to be anything even close to smooth. If it's only going to be viewed from the inside then it'll work fine.

My idea was only to be viewed from the inside. I havn't sat down and really looked over the math stuff but I'll get around to it sometime. I have alot of ideas in my head and that was just one that was just on top of my idea list. I'm going to push it aside for now, atleast till I get skilled with other aspects of forge.
