I don't understand why my spartan starts complaining about his broken legs and internal bleeding when he jumps off a curb, but when I put him in campaign mode he is thrown out of ships and is like: "ow mah arm o no its k"

All stupid jokes aside, is this not a huge freaking plot hole? Did I miss something three times?

It's just that bungie has been always fairly good with their stories. Sure it was cinematic, I'm just wondering if there's a reason he survived. Just someone who knows something I don't.

DUDE, DID YOU SEE THAT THING ON HIS BACK? IT TOTALLY WASN'T AN ORBITAL ENTRY UNIT.

    /thread

In all seriousness, you can see an orbital entry class jetpack on your spartan's back before Jun throws you off of the corvette.

Ya, I missed it the first time I played through too.

The bigger thing I was wondering was why was Jorge sacrificing himself when their were marines still alive who couldn't leave anyway? I think they should have made and alternate version where if you do well enough and there is a marine left they sacrifice themselves and Jorge survives. To get rid of him maybe make him go with Jun and Halsey later.

I was devastated when Jorge sacrificed himself. He was the most badass and my favorite. Emile should've went up there and sacrificed his dumbass so Noble 6 and Jorge could've done the last level together. That would've been epic.

Because the marines up there were too stupid to know how to arm the bomb themselves. Plus Jorge (thought) he was saving Reach, where he was raised.

    It's all sentimental, Jorge.

And to poke a dead horse, Six's backpack says "RE-ENTRY PACK" on the back. It's better than the Chief, surfing a Forerunner door down.

And if you notice in the cutscene after, you can see that six picks up stuff from the reentry back on the ground.

I don't think it would be so hard to tell some one, "Wait 'till the big ship is right above you then hit this button." I don't think someone raised by the military would so needlessly sacrifice themself. Besides, if he were sentimental about Reach wouldn't he have tried to keep himself alive for when the Covenant attacks next with a bigger fleet?

He (or anyone else at the time) didn't know that the covennant had any more ships on the way.

Plus 90%+ ofthe time when you play the level, all the marines will die.

He also thought Halsey was dead, so when he had the chance to sacrifice himself, he was all like, "Ah, hell, why not?"

^ I was about to say, the same thing happens at the start of H3. MC didn't even break a nail based on the following cutscene as well ("gel layer took most of the impact" was Johnson's somewhat brief explanation), so considering how messed up Noble 6 was, I don't see how this is any less believable.

According to science, that should've made the injuries an order of magnitude worse.

According to science, oh wait its a video game where aliens shoot plasma at you and you walk around with jet-packs in giant bio-integrated armor suits saving massive rings with gravity that could blow up all of mankind in order to save them from mutant zombies.

I think we can forgive a little transgression bro ;)

Jorge=extremely high probability of survival so detonation of the bomb is guaranteed
Marines=a grunt walks in and kills them all with a well placed fuel rod shot so the bomb is not detonated
