How to use an object as the bomb?

You can't set a football to be a bomb for some reason. You could probably use a series of really complicated things to make it work, be inventive.

 

Any reason why it has to be a soccer ball, because when playing it will look ridiculous having players push a giant football across the map. Just sick to a vehicle, works better.

 

I couldn't get it to work with a Falcon which I was disappointed about. I really wanted to be able to crash into a base with a Falcon and have it blow up.

 

There are ways of making this work very well (by not having to push it across the map) I currently have an invasion map planned that will use a golf ball as a bomb in new and cool way, if I can get it to work as a bomb.

 

this has already been researched and to my knowledge it is impossible.

the only gametype that causes a score to occur without a player being in physical contact with the objective item, is Stockpile.

regular flag, you have to carry the flag. you have to pick up and arm the bomb. etc.

i really hope that there is a way to do this that hasnt been discovered yet though, but i doubt it.

heres an idea: teleport the player to where the bomb is, and when he picks it up he cannot move jump etc. Then have someone push the golf ball so that it somehow pushes the person onto the bomb site.

 

that is a ridiculous idea.

 

We have enough WTC maps.

@OP: AFAIK there's no gametype where you can change the objective item -- even in Stockpile, a ball can only be the flag spawn or drop point... But try making it backwards... Make your soccer ball the plant point, and have people knock it to the bomb spawn (which will need to be Forged so that people can't actually grab the bomb).

 

Not to be rude but why does it have to become a WTC map if I want to use a falcon as a bomb? I am just looking for ways to make my invasion setups different from eachother.

 

you could always make it so you have to jump into a hole to grab the bomb, and the only way out is to drop the bomb. so to score, you have to get the soccer ball into the hole, than jump in after it.
you can however, make it so you have to shove it into a hole, which hits a fusion coil, and somehow rotates it so the giant territory under the fusion coil that you set will flip up over the entire map. it will be hard to do well, but will be great if you get it to work.

 

Oh, yeah, you would need to do that first thing, because my suggestion still requires someone to actually grab the bomb. The second suggestion sounds more seamless, but also much more failure-prone.
