I sadfaced when I heared that only xbox live will get the DLC. Then I downloaded the geck and I happyfaced.
If they can match the atmosphere and general style of Fallout 3 then I'm sold, it's still my favourite game stylistically, I just loved the whole aesthetic and cultural setting they chose. The soundtrack sure as hell better match up or I can't see myself feeling nearly as immersed tbh, I'd probably say that was the clincher with 3. Definitely going to be buying it on release and rinsing it for a good while, though for some reason Fallout 3 was a game that I loved to death, completed and then never touched again. I never even bought the DLCs, which I really should get around to since I did love that game in a special way that's not been matched before or since. Either way, this is the only game I care about other than Reach for the foreseeable future, and whilst it obviously isn't going to hold my attention for nearly as long as Halo, I'm hoping it'll match up to that special place in my heart which Fallout 3 currently holds.
Played a couple hours today and I'm really enjoying it. Now that I've played a bit, I'm not sure why I couldn't get into Fallout 3. Once I beat New Vegas I'm gonna go and buy the GOTY edition of Fallout 3.
Yep, my theory is correct, whenever I try repairing those particular clothed, the game instantly crashes...
Right now I'm level 13. I have A LOT of quests that I can currently complete on my Pip-Boy. I'm working on Still in the Dark for the Brotherhood of Steel. They asked me to do 3 different things already and I have not even completed the quest. I've encountered Deathclaws, which now have armor, and got dead. Is there any place that sells a lot of 5.56 AP rounds? I need some for whenever I encounter the baddies. Also, which gangs have you guys been helping? Here's mine: Brootherhood NCR Powder Gangers (meh) Vegas People The thing is that the Brootherhood hates the NCR and vise versa. Sometimes the NCR want me to kill the Bros and vise versa as well. I have only done little on the Strip and for the Powder Gangers. It's difficult picking your side because it seems like everyone hates all the others.
Just got this game for PC. I'll update this once i get started, because i know you all REALLY care about what i'm doing.
So I'm contemplating on whether I should get this game or not. My modem cuts out quite often and I'd really like a game to play that is great to play without the need for multiplayer. I loved Fallout 3 and I've got plenty of money to buy the game. The only thing I want to know is if the game is really worth it. I don't know much about the game story wise but if the game is good I'll more than likely buy it next Thursday when I go to get Smackdown vs Raw 2011.
Okay, I must ask this: Has anyone here played the game on Xbox 360 and after getting the update? I want to buy the game, but lots of people are saying that the update Breaks the game and freezes it. Any confirmation or disproving of that would be fantastic, because I want this game so bad...
The game does lag and freeze. It takes a very long time to load if you're fast traveling and it could possibly freeze while loading. I only had one freeze and I was playing for 3 hours last night and fast traveled many times and had one but then I quit. If it does freeze while fast traveling, it's OK. It auto saves.
This is with the update installed? I know about all the problems before the update, and they dont bother me, but its the update issues that have been popping up that have me frightened...
The update does have issues as I had stated before. It won't effect gameplay that much but if you want it to run very clean then clear up some space on your hard drive, I found that to make the game run faster. There are also minor glitches like your arms being higher or lower than they should be and bodies being unsearchable until long after their death. I got mine from fallen enemies and from the Goodspring shop at first. There's a place called Gun Runners and that has very high quality weapons but you need some extra cash for the very powerful ones.
Oh okay thanks dude. I knew this game was going to be awesome, and I knew it was doomed to be covered in bugs because of who is developing it (Obsidian). Fallout 3 wasnt this bad. But no matter, I will be renting this tomorrow (if someone didnt steal that last copy -_-) and I cant freaking wait!
So, I got the game for the xbox today and I can say that it is pretty sweet. I personally don't like how there is less direction on what to do than Fallout 3, but it is still as good, if not a little better. I have not gotten that far, but I think that the game will be this good throughout, if not better. I also wanted to say that I have no internet right know, so I don't have the patch that you guys are talking about.
