Ok, so I decided to build a special Halloween themed infection map. I am hoping to get it finished by Halloween (duh). The whole goal is to make an infection map that stands out both in gameplay and aesthetics, and I hope I can achieve that goal with your help and advice!

So far all I have gotten done is the central aesthetic piece I had in mind to begin with:
    A GIANT Jack-O-Lantern!

It looks much cooler when you're in forge btw, for some reason the screenshots don't give enough of its red glow. I used the orange and green special FX to make the red lights really stand out and the green to make it darker (purple and orange still looks like day). Another combination would be purple and juicy, but I liked orange and green alot better.

I was thinking about building an Infection map/gametype around it where the zombies are somewhat slow and the whole point is for the humans to run through a maze to get to the jack-o-lantern where three very small safe (and cycling) safe zones are located. The humans would spawn inside the maze itself and the zombies would be outside. The zombies would spawn in a special "graveyard". The humans wouldn't be able to get out because of one way shield doors.

Edit:I was testing out making a graveyard in forge with blocks, and I got that down. It was when I decided to add the FX did I realize that I couldn't see the graveyard itself. Only thing I could do is to add a light, but both lights are used in the pumpkin to light the eyes and the mouth evenly. I think I might make it work by actually using that to my advantage because the graveyard would look more like an outline. I'm going to have to test this out...I won't really have a playable map until the weekend. Any ideas?

Please comment with any advice you would have with the gametype properties/map.

What do you all think? :)

One reason to use purple is that it darkens the sky more than any other FX, so a map can legitimately look like night. Can you show a bit more of what will be the playable part of the map. One or two pictures of the jack-o-lantern are enough.

Purple and orange makes it still look like day. I don't have the playable part made yet, its going to be the area around the pumpkin with layer of walls as the maze.
