    LAST RESORT v3.0

    THIS IS THE FINAL VERSION OF MY LAST RESORT REMAKE. A FULL LAST RESORT REMAKE near "perfect".
    FEATURES: GARAGE to defensive base. TOTALLY REBUILT DEFENSIVE BASE finally MADE ACCURATE,. REBUILT FROMAN SNIPER BASE WITH DROP DOWN(built by xbl gamertag: Hey Andy), REBUILT FROMAN CATWALK, IMPROVED DEATH BARRIERS, CLIMBING ACCESS TO SEA WALL TUNNEL NEAR FORT FROMAN, GRAV LIFT ON WHEEL TO SIMULATE WHEEL LIFTING YOU UP TO COLLAPSIBLE WALKWAY. BEACH TOWER MODIFIED WITH OTHER BEACH MODIFICATIONS. GRIDS IN WATER TO EXTEND HIGH TIDE BEACH ACCESS. BEACH ARCH REBUILT BY HEY ANDY.
    ALL WEAPONS ARE SAME PLACEMENT AS HALO 3. BRUTE SHOT IS REPLACED WITH CONCUSSION RIFLE. ALL SPAWNS ARE THE SAME AND GAME TYPES HAVE BEEN ADDED AND TESTED AND WORK WONDERFULLY.

    first off i will say. this is not perfect. the terrain changes alot and not every jump is the same. but they never are in any remakes to somebodies standards. things always change. my biggest complaint about my own map is that you can no longer jump from froman to the shotgun spawn at the wheel. My second complaint is that at the biginning of the game frame rate is slow and parts of the time while playing when viewing many objects at once frame rate slows. this is due to how large this map is and how much budget this map required. which is all off the budget. otherwise i think i have met all other requirements. though frame rate issue is not so present that it ruins gameplay experience. gameplay is AWESOME!! feels just like last resort.
    i teamed up with Hey Andy and made some necessary changes to my original last resort full of pretty aesthetics. this version has added more essentials for GAME PLAY and has a great flow to it. we removed the fan blades and made some other changes to gain more money to work with. the whole feel of last resort is still there though. we have totally redone Fort froman and made it possible to drop down inside from the top. the froman to defensive base catwalk has been added and re-edited. the sea wall now has an arch like the original giving access from the sea to the wall leading to sniper. aesthetic changes have been made all over the place, and a GRAVITY lift has been integrated into to the wheel well wall to simulate access to the falling catwalk by the moving fan. also a few grids have been added to the water to expand the beach. THINK OF IT AS IN HIGH TIDE. THE DEFENSIVE BASE HAS BEEN TOTALLY REBUILT TO BE MORE ACCURATE AND ADDED THE GARAGE TO THE DEFENSIVE BASE LIKE IN LAST RESORT. please let me know what you think. , but those of you who wanted gameplay of asthetics, here you go! :] also my more apealing to the eye version is still available. hope you enjoy thankyou.

    This looks absolutely amazing! I'm queuing it up right now. Ive been waiting for a solid LR remake for a while now, as Zanzi and LR are my favorite Halo map of all time!

    How does it play with AAs? I always thought it would play pretty well.

    This looks really good, but the rocks don't look very natural. And I'd recommend making the fan look more destroyed instead of incomplete. Or maybe you should make it under construction, but im sure your low of budget. Although overall it looks very good and quite accurate.

    I don't mind the destroyed wheel look. It's better than a complete and stationary wheel. I think it's pretty badass looking and I'm setting it to download.

    I'll write more later if I ever get a good game on it.

    I like the use of the grav-lift in place of the spinning turbine. Great idea.

    He's at $0 in budget. I think the wheel looks great as well. I see no need to change it at all. The scale of the map is a little off, but its nothing game-breaking. Reach is its own game, afterall. I did, however, notice some pretty significant frame-rate loss in several parts of the map. To be honest, with a map like this, I'm not sure there would be much you could do about it, either. Which is a shame. Maybe it could be improved a bit, but it looked like you allocated your resources pretty well, and pretty tight- so there's probably not a whole lot you could do. It may be better in-game than in forge. Im gonna get some games on it here in the next couple days and see how she runs.

    you saying the rocks dont look very natural is very vague, what rocks exactly? also keep in mid that this version is mainly set up for gameplay. you seem to have an eye for asthetics. i dont want to waste money on trying to make the wheel look under construction. if you want one that may look more like that, and with the rocks possible looking more asthetically pleasing, then go onto my fileshare and download my previous versions 1.0 or 2.0. :]....... 2.0 has more of that under construction/ broken down fan look you are looking for. tell me what you think. thanks for you input, im glad you enjoyed it. give it a download though if you havent.

    Very nice remake, particularly like the beach/beach wall area and the hole in the wall looking over froman. Nice touch adding the man cannon to the wheel as well. Overall pretty nice, especially considering the limited budget.

    Your map still lacks alot in detail, and i dont mean just for the sight.
    Alot of rooms are not to scale, mostly the base is not identical, you even forgot the walkway in the middle.

    Again, if you would forge more economical you could do so much better.

    What I meant was the rocks look a little placed there, try and make them look more realistic by either changing the placement, or adding smaller rocks to it to make it look more complete. I understand that rocks are very hard to perfect aesthetic wise, but if you need any help I'll help you. Because me and my friend seem to be pretty good at making rock structure. Also about the windmill I meant instead of just making it incomplete, try making it look a little more destroyed instead of just a half done. Like maybe some debris or like make the last wall curved look like half a wall curve.

    Ive found that the rock arches not only cover a pretty large area when turned on their large side, but also are pretty dang smooth and easy to make look natural, if that helps at all

    dulden, thank you for the great response.
    I have remade this map about six times now. the rocks... well there are alot of rocks in different places. i would like to make it look more asthetically pleasing but im out of rocks. i went for more of a gameplay remake. thankkyou for the offer to but if you wanted to go in and fiddle around with my map and change anything you would like, i wouldnt mind at all. show me what you done and ya. my xbl gmrtag is II GUNTHER II. but anyways, i really dont see any rocks that just look horrible and stick out greatly... if its asthetics you want. then gameplay will go down, and vise versa, especially on a map this size.
    Honestly, i will probably not make another version of this map. but i give anyone the right to forge on it and then show me their work. i would love that
    TWO FORGERS ARE BETTER THAN ONE

    Mr. Exile, i know i left out that middle walkway in the base. my bad. if you READ MY DESCRIPTION, you would know it is obviously NOT perfect, unfortunately due mainly to budget. but no matter how much i edit and re edit there will always be something wrong,
    some people are extremely pessimistic, while others are extremely optimistic about it and appreciate the work put into it.

    ohh i see you guys must be talking about the side entrance rocks to the main base. i will admit i had only three rocks left and did what i could with three sea spires. i wish i could have done better on the part. two forgers are better than one. and something alwyas POPS out that is not good enough when i think its good hahah. i love the input though

    Lacks a lot in detail!? This map is amazing o haven't seen anyone even attempt this map and get even close to how darn accurate this map is especially for its size! For what he was given he did an amazing job. I Lo e the high tide ideAh; and that you added the accurate main base and the garage! Awesome!

    It's a alright remake I know because of budget or something you can't fix a lot of problems aesthetically or paths and routes that should/nt be there.

    -But I can give you a few tips just from looking at the picture the windows at the beach walkway thing where you have 3 "Doors" in a row you could turn one upside down because its broken in the original.
    -Sniper tower has to things sticking up that aren't there in the original? there poles and there back further so they don't get in the way of sniping, also there should be a block there in the very middle at the front to give you cover you completely open up there, and Fusion coils should be there.

    Few things might help but good luck hope you find some way to save budget and improve it (nothing perfect) :)

    I believe Mr. Lightsout was referring to Armor Abilities. Oh and your remake just keeps getting better and better Gunther I especially like what you did with Camp Froman. It looks way better than the version I originally downloaded. Great job man!

    conserning AA's, they play very very well on this map! it is fun to see how these AA's play out on all these remakes from the old days :].
    Skisma im glad your enjoying the new version. still not perfect i know, :\ but i feel i have left out only minor details and the big picture is there.

    Awsome! I just wish that you could actually recreate a moving wheel in forge :( Either way, awsome remake. My only concern is that the rocks here, look strange. Besides that, PERFECT!
