This map is a pretty simple, symmetrical map mostly meant for team games. I thought of the idea of instead of having bridges connecting islands, make them connected by teleporters. I knew something like this would cause camping, so I made a system that makes it so any player who can visually see a teleporter can be shot at, usually from more than one angle. Currently I need a little help with weapon placement. Weapons: 1 Rocket (Only 1 clip) 1 Sniper 1 Shotgun 1 Grenade Launcher (This and the Concussion Rifle do NOT spawn at start) 1 Concussion Rifle 4 Plasma Grenades 1 Needler 2 Needle Rifles 2 Plasma Pistols 2 Plasma Repeaters 4 DMRs here is another view of the map another thing in my map that is unique is the ramped cover. this is something that is hard to explain with words, so I will start by showing you a picture. so basically the large block in the center of the room is for cover purposes. the ramps, however, allow an alternate route around the cover. instead of going around it, you can go over it and surprise your enemy. there are only a few ways up, however. one way is to sprint and jump at the very bottom of the incline. this is the most common way, and is a way for sprint to become more useful on this map. alternate routes include grenade jumping, plasma pistol jumping, and concussion rifling the ground, which also allows you to get up. i believe this technique deepens the map and the overall experience. Here is a video showing how this technique can be used. Sadly, it is not rendered, so you will have to download it to your xbox in order to watch it. Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details Thank you for taking the time to read my thread, and please critique my map. P.S. for some reason my preview screenshot did not show up. Is there a way to fix this?
I love the ideas that you have put into this map, The rooms look fantastic and makes the map feel like a completely new thing. My only problem with it is, the map is very closed and very short. I quickly stopped playing. I would suggest connecting the rooms and adding another layer to the map to bump up the game play a bit.
hmm... i like this idea. i think i am going to extend all room to the second floor and make it so they all link via bridges. i will be testing this out to see how it plays.
