I'll see, right now I'm watching Moon though.

I like the idea so far, interesting, but I'm not too far into it.

Avatar? Mirrors Edge? Looks like someone has a "Strong willed women" fetish.

    Next stop: Dominatrix.

    Moon was ****ing amazing.

Although I didn't get the mind**** too much out of it, I predicted a lot of what would happen.

I'll put it in spoilers, but I'd prefer to leave it out in general, basically the main triggering point to progress the story I guessed correctly, as well as how it would end.

EDIT: Also, I love Kevin Spacey, one of my favorite actors, didn't know he was in it till the end, I knew I recognized Gurty's voice, but I couldn't put a face to it.

    i <3 A Scanner Darkly

i like to put it on when i go to bed. Once you've seen it all the way through, it's a good movie to just throw on and let play in the background of things

    i third this.

    Yeah.

THEN, you need to get your hands on Serenity (the movie that was made that provides good closure to the prematurely cancelled series). Which was surprisingly one of my favorite sci-fi movie watching experiences.

    EDIT: see sarge's avatar

Also, for those who liked Moon and want some more quality low budget sci-fi of a similar fashion check out Sunshine. HEAVILY influenced by the visual style of 2001 and Solaris (the original, which i have yet to see). I dont know if it's on Netflix though.

It's got one of the most moving soundtracks of any movie ive seen and it compliments the beautiful visuals.
YouTube - John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor)

and to further put into scale how impressive Moon is, Moon was made on a $5 mil budget while Sunshine was made on a $50 mil budget. Both are considered low budget for the genre.

Sounds great, I like the more classical title for the piece too.

I loved the soundtrack to moon, fit so well, so simple and beautiful

    :(

how do you break a macbook? ive been trying for months now...

yeah Moon's soundtrack is amazing, it's the same guy who did the soundtrack for Requiem For a Dream. It isnt really comparable to Sunshine's though, different style.

They use Adagio in D Minor in Kick-Ass as well, along with a few other John Murphy tracks like In A Heartbeat from 28 Days Later. Kick-Ass was like a collage of all my favorite soundtracks. lol.

Oh I wasn't comparing, I just finished watching moon a little bit ago, so it reminded me.

I looked up Clint Mansell, and saw he did requiem, he's a genius in terms of turning one musical idea to a whole film's score.

I know you werent, i was just trying to establish theyre both super awesome in their own way.

I just looked him up to see what else he's done besides those two, and he's doing the score for Black Swan :D

Saw the machinist last night. Good movie but it seemed like they made this awesome script and kinda rushed the ending.
