    I would like to present a halo 2 remake. Noble Creek Is a Precise Halo 2 Beaver Creek Remake. I worked on this map for a good 5-6 weeks getting the geometry 99% a carbon copy remake of beaver creek from halo 2. With this remake i went for the inclusion of the underground bases in all there former glory with a rock face boundry perimiter spamming the whole map instead of Making the bases flooded and having to use forge items for the block off wall as i believed it would be much more practical for the bases and aestheically pleasing on the boundry walls. Aesthetically i believe the boundry walls add back to the aesthetics what was lost without the grass and water for the design staying true to the original from halo 2. Noble creek has also been shown on the Old Spice Report Episode #5 in the intro.

    V5 Is now released, The changes i have made mainly focused on making the map 100% elite friendly, I also spent alot of time fine tuning the kill barriers adding soft kill barriers before the kill perimiter boundrys so jetpack users now know when they are going too far out of the map and thus get warned.

    Edit: I have also edited the maps gametypes to support neutral assault. Gametypes now supported are Slayer, Multiflag CTF and Neutral assault.

    Summary

    The method i used to create this map involved running two xboxes and monitors simultaneously with the other console running halo 2. I accurately got the feel for each part of halo 2s beaver creek, measured and accurately transcended it onto forge world peice by peice the best i could, A slow but effective process. The map retains all the weapon setups from halo 2, with addition of 2 needle rifles behing the brace covers to the right of each base and the Smg's had to be replaced with spikers.

    really good remake man glad to see you didnt focus on the river in the middle, too many remakes of beaver creek over emphasize the river. looks pretty much perfect to scale, downloading now.

    No disrespectin' here, but it took you 6 weeks to make a map that somebody made almost flawlessly in about 2 days?

    Well, I guess since this was an MLG remake.

    Good Job Otherwise. What I think you should do, is move the entire map down towards the water so you can ecr (with the water and all).

    No offense but you'd have a hard time showing me a flawless remake from 2 days of work. Ive seen them all, If the Beaver Creek Your talking about is the one released in the 1st week with seastacks as the arch and the bases miles away from eachother and cramped bases, then please define your definition of flawless. And if thats not the one your refering to then link me because i'd like to see this Masterpiece.

    And Fyi. The first Version Took 1 week, The Following 3 versions after that i spent ages tweaking and perfecting.

    Imo Building Creek At sea level is stupid, The bases get flooded and you have to make your entire blockoff wall of colleseum walls etc, Talk about ugly.

    Id take a Non Flooded Underground + Nice rock boundry aesthetics over flooded bases and 100% colleseum wall block off anyday.

    I really dig this remake. It's not pixel perfect, and that is a great thing. I'm impressed that you recreated Beaver Creek from the (under)ground-up to accomadate the nerfed jump height of Reach. All the jumps are there in all their glory, minus the frustration. :) Great job, your hard work paid off.

    V4 Is the one you need, it sais that in my post, Also when you click "download now" It goes straight to the file.

    The other file on my fileshare is an mlg only file.

    Just had a 30 kill (had 1 triple) game on noble creek v3 in 5 flag ctf. It was so fun to pass the flag up to the roof and have them go thru the warps. This is the best beaver creek layout in the forge community imo, gameplay is so hot on this map.

    This is the remake I've been waiting for. Very close to the original.

    Only 3 things stood out to me as being a bit off....
    -The ramps inside the bases seem off center (they very well may have been that way in H2 but I believe they were centered in the room).
    -The side window in the bases isn't built for the old flag tossing trick. Maybe you didn't want people using that anymore or maybe you ran out of budget, I don't know but I always enjoyed using that side window.
    -You have a hard kill zone above the level... this causes a problem by sniper where you can't even jump at certain spots without dying (normal spots you could get to in H2). It would be better to have a soft kill zone at least to max jump height and put the hard kill zone above that.

    Everything else in this is incredible. The rock ramps are seamless, the bases are great, the boundary wall is beautiful. This should easily be a finalist in the forgotten treasures contest (if you decide to submit it).

    I do plan to submit it before the 28th, Im planning to get 1 more version in before then, Though most likely it will only me minor changes if much atall.

    They wern't centered in that room, they are exactly as was in halo 2

    If that window was bigger people would be able to jump through it, At the very least i can look into adusting it so that you can toss it out and not be able to jump though it from the outside. I didn't run out of budget i made the map efficiently while leaving $3000 approx so no lag issues cropped up. But remember halo 2 had different game mechanics like throwing the flag further, So it may not be possible..

    Nothing like this popped up in the testing, If you are talking about jumping onto the pipe, You could't go that far into the boundry behind sniper in halo 2, i believe that would be silly to remove the kill barrier there, But i can atleast look at it for you.

    Very hawt BC remake.

    On the subject of windows, one of the bases on Battle Creek(Red) had larger windows you could jump through. It was a LITTLE tricky to do, but if you could make it impossible to do with the flag, but still a viable movement option in both bases that could work.

    Easily the best remake of any map I have personally seen yet.

    I will try and see if there isn't a way to do it but i defintely dont want to make it possible to just jump into the bases, for flag all one would have to do is teleport and jump in the base to get the flag, throw it out and well you get the point..

    Just had a little wander of the map and I found the same Kill Barrier issue above the sniper. I also noticed that all of the pipes had kill barriers as well. This will be a pain for Jetpackers and maybe even Infection where the zombies have lower gravity (I know its not compatible yet).

    To resolve this problem I would recommend placing Soft Kill barriers where you currently have the Hard Kill Barriers, and then place Hard Kill Barriers behind them. As least that way you have a bit of warning- AKA they either return to the map, stay and die, or try to go out and die instantly.

    Apart from that I am loving the layout of this map. And because of your unique boundary instead of large walls it's looking really good as well. On the whole it is a job well done, and definately the best remake of any map I have seen to date.

    Thank you SO MUCH for not obsessing over the stupid creek. This is, hands down, the best Beaver Creek remake I've downloaded, and I've gone through quite a few of them. Haven't gotten a game in yet, but I got a chance to run around in it for a while last night, and it's beautiful. Everything feels exactly like the Beaver Creek I remember, except I can have a jetpack. Can't wait to get some customs going on this.
