1 Bridge 2 Far

    Here is the first map I've decided to publicly release. It is v1.0 of this map so I'm open to suggestions for improvements!

    Essentially the map is a two base map with a Good vs Evil feel. In Infection, the zombies come from the evil side. In TS, the "evil" side has cov weapons and good side has human. The weapons are fairly balanced I think.

    Weapons:
    DMR x 1
    AR x 2
    Magnum x 1
    Needler x 1
    Plasma Pistol x 1
    Plasma Rifle x 2
    Concussion Rifle x 1
    Shotgun X 1
    Energy Sword x 1
    Gravity Hammer x 1
    Sniper x 1
    Rocket Launcher x 1
    Plasma Launcher x 1
    Frag and Plasma Grenades
    and maybe a couple others I'm forgetting at the moment.

    The map offers different paths to each side which should allow for shifting "hot" zones. I've tested timing for travelling each way and each path is fairly evenly timed.

    What do you all think?

    You should make the pics bigger.

    What is so "evil" about the covenant, besides the fact that they want to eradicate the human race.

    The covy are not inherently evil.

    The current Prophets (and, according to Truth all prophets from the past few generations) are corrupt and don't want us to be worship for our Forerunner heritage. The rest of the covenant sees us trying to stop the great journy and kill us for being heretics.

    Hell, if Brutes weren't so damn trigger happy the war may have never started in the first place. Worry about your damn oracle later and eat the ****ing fruit.


    On Topic;

    Your pics are way too small. How big is the bridge? They way I see it, your centerpiece is one giant chockpoint.

    and check out the videos for the whole "effect". :)

    Also, the man cannons on each side bypass the "chokepoint" :)

    The gameplay is somewhat similar to "Narrows".

    Added after 13 Hours 52 minutes:

    I see I've got 19 DLs so far, I'd love to hear from some people who've tried out the map.

    I'm going to be setting up Invasion on the map too, I think it lends itself well to that style.

    Nice map overall! Plays quick and hard and Infection was double fun!

    There are two areas where you can't walk under that you intuitively should be able to. That's on both sides of bridge on the "red" side. You can walk under if you stay to the one side, but the other side you can't.

    To touch on the "chokepoint", there isn't one! You essentially have three paths to cross the bridge (not including any jetpacking) 1. over bridge, 2. under bridge and 3. man cannons on each "opposite" side.

    P.S. LoFs are very nice!

    Looking forward to v2.0 of this!

    Thanks! v2.0 is coming soon! Some changes coming:

    1. Remove Plasma Launcher
    2. Remove Grav Hammer
    3. Move Sword to under bridge pathway.
    4. Adding 2 new paths on each side of the bridge to allow for alternate access to defensive turrets and/or man cannons.
    5. Fixing height issue reported by 300Spartans.
