City Streets *looking for playtesters*

    Being as the forging looks impeccable I hope you take the time to set it up for everything but invasion.

    thanks everyone for your interest in the map. I think I will be trying to do a playtest over the weekend sat/sunday afternoonish/ noon maybe.

    I'm trying to set up the respawn areas, I'm thinking a weak neutral respawn on each one of the buildings, and then a larger team respawn area covering half the map for each team. Basically I want people to mostly spawn by their bases, but be able to respawn in other buildings if their teammates are occupying them/ their home base is getting camped. I tried putting a team respawn over the whole map but with an anti respawn area over the bases, but that ended up with no one spawning at the bases so I'm not sure how to use those correctly.

    This map deserves good spawns. You might want to do it the old fashioned way and place some individual spawns as well as the areas you placing in the buildings. That way players will spawn in cover instead like spawning in the middle of the street giving a sniper a 2 second head start on a head shot. Let me know if you want help. It's pretty tedious setting up tons of individ spawns>

    it would be nice to have purely all warthogs on this map, plus some traffic cones.

    I know you're probably absolutely out of money, but I think some human and covenant detritus would add a lot to the aesthetics of the map... It's purely a question of appearance though, and you probably have better things to spend your money on..

    And because I didn't say this already...

    O.O ... I just fell in love... Your map is absolutely orgasmic

    I played a round on this with a Stockpile gametype the other day--looks fantastic, played even better. I'd have to get some more playtime on the map to get a better idea for any constructive criticisms, but at the moment, I have none. Keep up the good work!

    really impressed with the use of curves, not often done. especially in a bigger scale map like this i would not mind playtesting

    When I played this, it was amazing, with the only problem being lag. I don't know if it was that particular game, or if it is always laggy. Either way it's a great map.

    I played it in a custom game and I had to get it for myself. Its great for every game type, and just over all AWESOME!

    I think the map is just about done in my opinion, thanks to all the people who helped playtest. I still have to work out some minor stuff on the map with game items, as well as setting up some custom gametypes to go with the map. So far I feel like team slayer is the most fun, but I'm hoping to maybe do one last round of testing for some other stuff that I've been changing like invasion and infection.

    Be sure to check back on the first post in this thread, I've added some rendered videos for a better look at the map. One video shows how I've set up the invasion mode so far, while the second shows a bit of gameplay with a modest 4v4

    I love you. Be sure to get this posted during a busy hour of the day, when it'll get the recognition it rightfully deserves.

    No doubt this is an instant feature. You have put in an overwhelming amount of detail, it actually looks like a shipped map. Good work man, can't wait to see what you've got in store next.

    Edit; Checked out the videos [skimmed right past those] I'm really liking what you did with Invasion, exploding buildings and all. But the second bomb that was planted seemed like quite a journey to accomplish. Seems iffy.

    Also Slayer looks fun, but I think the streets could use additional cover, those reds were getting worked by the sniper. Perhaps add kiosks/newspaper stands along the sidewalks.

    Hey man I finally got into one of your games on this map last night. Let me just say, the map was amazing! Invasion on it was incredibly fun. I just have one thought about Invasion and planting the bomb.

    Is it supposed to be basically impossible to disarm the bomb once it's planted? Last night I remember killing someone right after they planted the bomb and went right into the bomb plant zone but had no time to disarm it. Is this intentional?
