Hi, this is my first post and first venture into Forge, I decided to do a remake of Boarding Action from Halo:CE, then after some work on it realized that because of the limitations of objects in Forge that I had to change a bunch of stuff to get it to work - so this is more of a reimagining of the level. It's not a copy of the original, more of a map based off of it, with a few of the same elements that made Boading Action fun while adding a couple more that I think will add to the fun. Take a look and let me know what you think.
What have you done to Boarding Action? not saying this is bad, but it looks nothing like the original. more of a spiritual succesor than a remake
what are you talking about, this is definently not a boarding action remake. It have two sides separated be a gorge and that's where the similarities end, I'm not saying its bad, but I'm definently saying it wouldn't win a remake contest, you can tell even by the tumbnail (boarding action=no bridge). I'll dl to check out.
Hey LOSReaper, Welcome to forgehub. I downloaded your map and walked around it. This sparked my interest as I plan on remaking it sooner or later if I don't find a remake that I like after a while. My first impression is that it seems a little on the large side compared to the original. Second, there are some parts (walkways next to the back wall near the top) where a player can easily fall off. This seems that it would be frustrating in actual gameplay as a player wouldn't expect to be able to fall down several stories while on the interior of the original map. Third, it seems a bit rushed. If I were you I would spend more time fiddling with the objects to make them fit together a little more naturally where players will be able to see clear paths at first glance. Try to make the objects fit together like you see buildings and what not in real life.
