Yeah, same with mine. Its not really a big deal though, it just makes my 1.7 k/d ratio look even more badass.

You're right. I wish it was harder to get... so I wouldn't have to look at it anymore.

Holy... that's a lot of credits... wow.

    Getting to Inheritor would take:
    a) playing an unhealthy amount of Reach
    b) dedication
    c) 100% lack of life
    d) (optional) extreme skill

That's almost frightening. A very long grind to the top.

It takes roughly 66,000 cR to go from Warrant Officer G3-Captain
It takes 50,000 to go from Major G3-Lt.Colonel

    weird...

I was expecting it to get harder to rank up as you get further, but it is always in a pattern where getting Grade 0 - 3 is always incredibly easy (about 20,000-25,000) and the last rank takes about double or triple that.

Yeah, I heard that it took W3 to Captain longer because of the achievement tied to it. I'm glad that I passed that. Right now I'm dealing with Captain 3 to Major, which is 46,000 cR. Today's challenges are more difficult and will take some games for me to achieve, so that should help a bit.

Gah, I hate it when people used Photobucket when posting lots of images. You just have to scroll for ages through the exceeded bandwidth warnings. There are lots of other images hosts which won't do that to you.

On topic though, cool, I see they just give up with military ranks towards the end!

How are you guys gonna get your like mike challenge done? I think I'll go with oddball or multi team, or a combo of both.

Try rumble pit and commit suicide 5 times. I'm not sure if that would work but I may try it.

Try play Invasion or some BTB round-based gametype. Most kills i'v got in a game is 57, and it was Multi Flag 4v4.

Team Objective is a good one. I was playing 1 Flag on pinnacle, 3v3 and I got up to 23 kills half way through the 3rd round before the other team quit because my team was so awesome.

But usually asymmetrical team objective games should be good for that challenge (I haven't got it yet because I haven't played much this week). Neither team will win by kills so suicide runs for kills won't hurt and camping is more acceptable and more efficient than slayer games because you know for sure where the other team will be going (ie your flag).
Also, rounds help you pace yourself. Usually 4 rounds, so that's 8 kills per round just to be sure.

We have a thread discussion for challenges...
    http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-...hallenge-discussion-thread-2.html#post1280239

I got mine in Multi-Team playing Oddball. If I can get it, then anyone can. Just choose an objective game type like Oddball, Crazy King, or even Headhunter... and just go for kills. Don't bother with the objective.

Multi team crazy king is the best way.
Both me and my friend got it in the same game, and that was on sword base.

Am I the only one that hates the soft falloff on the grenades, and the damage that they do?

I think they should just do enough damage to remove your shields.

If it lands a few feet away from you, you get a slight tickle, but if it lands right under you, it tears you a new asshole.

Nope, you're not the only one, I still think that H3 frags were absolutely great and didn't need changing. It irks me when someone puts a single DMR shot on me from full health/shields, then a single (albeit well placed) nade kills me, just seems too much. I am getting used to them, though, and they add another distinct advantage to sprint which is good for my purposes.

Still, I played Halo 3 yesterday after watching some MLG games and thinking 'hey, I remember that, it looks fun.' Obviously adjusting back to 3 is never going to happen instantly, but I didn't enjoy even a second of the 4 games I played. During the 4th game I was so disenchanted that I literally opened the disk tray and swapped back to Reach without even bothering to quit out, my precious H3 frags are a small price to pay overall imo.

i actually like the new frags, the fact that you have sprint and evade make getting away from a grenade that much easier, and since the grenades have less splash damage, its more balanced, because of the reward of dodging the grenade. but there is also the getting into sprint makes you unable to shoot, so it makes every single grenade toss a decision.
and in H3, i hated how a grenade than BR would kill, but not in the other order. it just makes more sense this way.
    and yeah,H3 sucks

I completely disagree. Basically, of the two actions (nade to take one shot/headshot with BR or DMR), the headshot is harder, therefore the easier of the two to avoid as the person being attacked. In H3, you could be taken one shot by a nade and then think 'OK, I'm one shot, so I'll avoid getting in an LoS which could mean he (the opponent) can headshot and then kill me.'

In Reach, they can land the DMR shot and you think 'OK, he only landed one shot on me', but then the opponent can perform the easier of the two actions by placing a nade and still get the kill (eaiser because it can be done round corners etc., perhaps 'more probable' would be a better term than 'easier'). It means you have to be overly cautious of nades, which any given player is very likely to have, as soon as they have landed a single shot on you, which reduces options drastically in many situations even against a lesser skilled opponent.

But much more importantly than this is the difference between landing a head shot and a body shot with the DMR. Nade then DMR prep necessitates landing a headshot, but the other way around does not since a DMR shot on a fully shielded opponent will do the same damage (1/4 of your shields) whether it is on the head or anywhere on the body. This reduces the amount of skill needed to perform a nade/oneshot kill combo quite significantly.

    Basically, dislike.

Yeah. Being shot a little and then getting raped by a single grenade is the most rage inducing thing ever.

A lot of people seem to like the new grenades. I don't really get it.

You make an excellent point with the headshot vs bodyshot.
